This is concering a 2001 Fisher (Tracker Marine)17 Sport Avenger. I have a Fisher boat that developed a small crack in the hull next to a rib. I contacted Tracker Marine as to where to bring it since my dealer went out of business. The told me to contact another Tracker Dealer. I contacted the Tracker Dealer and they sent me to a repair shop that was only 5 miles from my home. The repair shop sent Tracker a report and estimate on the repair After I brought it in In October of 2002.

In March Tracker decided to bring it to their factory. When I received it back in April of 2003 I was astounded at the shape it was in. The boat was filthy and there was a rip in the carpeting. As well the repair looked like crap! The hull is now all rippled because the repair was done so poorly. They said it is hard to weld aluminum! Not a professional job in the least! The boat also was returned to me with a torn engine cover and I had to remount the widshield so it would line up properly. There was also overspray on the trailer from the painting of the hull.

All my corispondance to Tracker was a waste of time. They did agree to send me some carpeting but now I have to do the repair. They accused me of wanting a new boat but all I said I wanted is the repair to be done correctly and the boat returned in at least the same condition I sent it to them in. I have tried to contact the president of Tracker but he was always unavailable and my calls were returned by "customer service reps". I got the same runaround from all of them. They don't listen and won't do anything!

I have a complaint filed with the Springfield Missouri BBB. It is unresloved and probably will remain so. I would recommend that anyone that has a complaint with Tracker Marine do the same as it will show up in their report that can be accessed from the web! I was planning on replacin the boat this year with a new one from Tracker till this all happened but I would never do business with Tracker if this is how they conduct their warranty repairs. I would not recommend Tracker Marine to anyone.

Just a warning to all who buy Fisher Boats, Tracker Marine. Their Fish forever warranty is deceptive at best. They warrant all external welds for the life of the boat. So you all know what this means, it means they warrant only the welds that hold the transon on and the welded on keels on the bottom. (Deep V Models) It does not include the welds that hold the botton to the stringers or the main junctions that are all welded from the inside. Warranty: "Our exclusive FISH FOREVER limited lifetime warranty means every external weld on your all-welded Mod V or Deep V hull is guaranteed against defects in material or workmanship for as long as you own the boat, or we'll fix it free. Your local FISHER dealer can give you all the details." I had the boat in to the factory for repairs in the past and now the other side of the bow has developed three cracks at the welded line where the hull is welded to the stringers. This is not covered sinse the boat is a 2001 and is past 5 years (April of 2006 the warranty ran out). I have contacted them and they will not accept warranty!
