Complaint Review: Tracy Construction - Skokie Illinois

 Mark Tracy is a slick one. The only reason we gave him the downpayment without a contract is because we were in our new townhouse with him and another guy who appeared to be drug addicts. We just wanted them to leave so we could lock up and go home. He later sent a contract we never signed because it was nearly three times more than the highest quote we had. Mark started calling my wife incessantly telling her about how he had found God after drug use and other issues. It was clear what we were dealing with and we just wanted out of the situation.

Once we did not sign the contract and asked for our deposit back we were harrassed and threatened through emails and phone calls until we just refused to respond. The guy is a real nut. I pity anyone who runs across him. Whatever you do, don’t give him money until you sign the contract. Once you see his prices you probably won’t sign. That’s when the emails and phone calls will begin. Don’t say you have not been warned!

 If this person exists use your name. I've never had any complaints until I got a lead off of Craigslist for a deli which I did at 2643 n Milwaukee Chicago right across from the Logan Theater. You don't see anything from Nancy the owner of HALFITALIAN do you? $150000 + job. No it's always the nickel & dimers that try to hurt For the most part Craigslist has been really bad I regret using it Whoever this person feel free to identify yourself Mark Tracy

May 21-2017  Response to NICOLE KALLOW that I'm a crook   I first off regret I put this  off for so long, part of it was because I was so infuriated and just the  thought of it made me extremely upset. This is the worst thing that has happened to me, business wise. This is exactly the reason I ask and have over 70 testimonials. 

Back in May of 2015 I had an estimate at approximately touhy and western on a Tuesday evening. The residence was a town home the person had just bought. When I got there with Mike Rico of I LIKE MIKE CONSTRUCTION Nicole and her husband Dave were there. The place was basically trashed. So we Mike & I looked it over and we gave her the estimate which didn't include possible hardwood flooring and a wrought iron spiral staircase .So I gave her and her husband the quote and they agreed and signed the contract giving us $300 cash deposit. We were scheduled to start Thursday morning. I gave Michael $100 of the $300.Everything was all good. Mike and his crew were ready to start in less than 48 hours .Wednesday evening Nicole calls and says they don't want us to start in the morning because Nicole and her husband can't make up their mind about the type of flooring as Dave has leg problems. Mike Rico was not happy as he could have been doing another job so already they had lost money. So Mike and I had to go back at least 3 more times as they could not decide on numerous items. So then I had to send my hardwood floor guy Daniel Chico.Daniel is no ordinary hardwood floor guy as he had done the entire TRUMP TOWERS floors Anyone can call Gina Lennigan in the front office to confirm this. I too have worked on unit 58e there and have the testimonial to prove it .The unit sold recently for over 2 million.

So back and forth this went on for almost 6 weeks. Also I had sent Robert Lamonica of LAMONICA IRONWORKS .A family owned business for around 70 years. Nicole and I text ,emailed and phoned around 50 times as her and her husband could not come to any conclusions. One time I was on the phone with her for 2 hours talking about her project, church and other small talk. I even had a Pastor friend call her about coming back to church as his church was blocks away from her new house. He is a Pastor Bucky Hempen. After around 6 weeks on a Sunday I'm standing in line at the store holding groceries and Nicole calls and says she might have to cancel. I told her I would call her back. I call her back Monday and she says she's discovered her condo association is in debt and she wants her money back. This is what happens when you don't have a lawyer draw up your contract. Everyone knows you can't cancel after 72 hours. If I did I could have sued her up to 15% of the contract but I'm not a jerk. By Wednesday she's writing reviews I'm a crook and a thief WOW I got $200 Mike Rico $100. Daniel Chico won't go on estimates for me anymore.

Then in March 2017 who calls me for an estimate but Nicole I have the phone records. She complains her husband who is a cab driver is being hurt by UBER yet she has no regard for a Michael, Me, Daniel or a Robert I'm a thief?
