Tralee Telephone And USBI Billing Clearinghouse ripoff fraudulent Long distance charges and illegal billing San Antonio Texas
For the past year I have been being charged long distance plan service charges for a plan I did not authorize or ever use. The company doing the billing is USBI on behalf of Tralee Telephone Company and they are added to my regular Verizon phone bill.
Since I did not authorize the plan or the charges I have continued to pay Verizon for their Basic and Non basic services but have ignored (not paid) USBI charges. I had tried several times to contact Tralee to find out why they were charging me but could not reach anyone. USBI claims they are only billing on Tralee's behalf and cannot cancel the services. So I have just gone on paying Verizon for their services and ignored USBI portion of the bills. This has been going on for 13 months and just the other day I received a Notice of Disconnection from Verizon because of these past due charges of Tralee's.
I called Verizon and explained the problem and they directed me to USBI where I spoke to a rep who claimed once again that they are only a billing service and cannot cancel for Tralee, however, they did issue a credit for me to Verizon for a portion of what I "owe". These two companies are ripping people off and it is time something is done. I was amazed when I found all these other consumers being ripped off as well. If anyone has any ideas on how we can stop these predators let me know.
