Trans Canadian Van Lines Goods damaged during transport even with insurance they are not paying the claim! Ottawa, Ontario
I hired Trans Canadian Van Lines to ship household goods from Montreal, Canada to San Diego, CA, USA.
Paid for the service and extra insurance.
The goods were picked up on Oct-2012 and large furniture items, such as, china cabinet, coffee tables, chest, and arm chair were packed by the movers. The goods arrived in San Diego on Nov-2012. The arm chair was damaged on both sides and the movers also observed the damage where the packing material was also damaged.
Upon arrival of the goods, I immediately sent the photos of the damaged arm chair to the moving company. I also sent on Dec-2012 the estimate of repair. I sent numerous follow-up e-mails and called again on Jan 2013. At that point in time Mr. Belarbi Chakouri started looking in to the matter.
After number of e-mails Trans Canadian Van Lines refuses to pay for the damages.
