Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Potential MSC's,

If you are considering taking a position with this company in outside sales business to business think again! Or any position with this comapny for that matter!!!!......I am here to tell you the exact low down and 411 on the company!!! I worked for this company as a recruiter, it was not that bad of a gig at first.....or so I thought!!! The recruiting department consists of about 30 recruiters who's main job is to stay on the phone and make call after call after call to the people who submit their resumes in hope for a legit job and career! They receive 20 resumes a piece per day!! They have to be on the phones for a minimum of 4 hours per day!! The whole department is required to hire a MINIMUM of 350 outside sales people a WEEK, do the math that is 18,200 people a year......if you can breathe and have a pulse this company will hire you!!!! The turn over rate here is so massive it would make your head spin!!! All the sales leaders and supervisors are looking for is someone to come in and complete a one 8 hour day of training then get out on the street make one sale then the first time you mess up fire you and look for the next best thing......I saw it happen over and over and over......

 Appointments,

As far as your appointments are concerned they are a big fat joke thats all I can say!!!!! Yes the leads are bought off of experian but it does not matter how bad the merchants credit is they will still get a phone call about processing! Now, how the appointments are made.....the call center houses about 300-400 ghetto off the streets people, only qualification for the job is breathing!!! They call the MERCHANTS and do not even tell them they are with TMG or Summit they just simply say "calling on behalf of Visa and Mastercard and ask if they could speak to the manager or the owner at the location, then they say they want to send a representative out to make sure their not being over charged for their processing", even if the merchant says they are not interested they still tell them to expect a rep out there the next business day and to have a current rate sheet available........So as you can tell you will get out there and 9 times out of 10 you will be turned away.......

 Fees,

This company has alot of hidden fees with their processing and equipment.....more so than most other companys out there.......

So ask yourself......Do you really want to work for a company that hires 18,200 people a year and only has about 400 actually stick around? Do you really want to work for a company that does not have legit appointments? Do you really want the hassle of having to use your own gas, car, cell phone and time without being payed any base salary?

While i am not entirely satisfied with the company thus far, i am learning and growing every day. I started working for SMS last week. I completed an interview, which was very minimal and only lasted 5 mins To be hired. I took a 5 hour webinar, and was "pushed from the nest" so to speak. As a sales rep, I have been given many different numbers, BUT ALL HAVE COENCIDED WITH THE CONTRACT I WAS GIVEN FOR MERCHANT SERVICE. I understand that can be confusing to many, but if you actually read the contract you are having people sign it all becomes very clear. I have worked out comparisons, using all fees and rates, for a few merchants already. It has resulted in a 30-55% savings for the merchant everytime I have conducted one. I am not biased as I am still weighing pros and cons myself. I will state facts though. I have yet to be on one "appointment" that actually is an appointment. In fact, I have yet to be swnt to an appointment where the owner will even give me the time of day, HOWEVER, every appointment I have been sent to is in a different area. Different area=more businesses= more chances to get in front of someone and sell. As of right now I'm not  worried about it because it gives me people to go back to.

that being said it is total bulls**t that they say that these are appointments. They most defiantly are not and i would recommend to anyone working for SMS that if you have someone to go back to or you are doing well in the area you are in do that instead of the "appointments".

As a current employee of Summit Merchant Services, Im not going to let someone slam us with no answer back. So I want to put out some truth of my own.

In our group at Summit, we have a pretty good idea who this person is. It didnt work out for him, he got mad, and now he wants to blame the company. He should start by looking in the mirror. If he wants to tell the truth, he should come out and say why he got fired. He doesnt want to talk about that, and he doesnt even have to tell you who he is. The things that he says tell you everything you need to know about his attitude.

He says the recruiting department makes calls to people who submit their resumes in hope for a legit job and a career. Isnt that what recruiters are SUPPOSED to do for a living?

He says do the math.  He says we get 20 resumes a day, and spend four hours on the phone every day. He says we have to hire 350 people a week. For 30 recruiters, that means we hope we can hire about 11 people out of every 100 resumes, about 1 out of 10. Thats not easy, but thats how hard you work if you want to be SUCCESSFUL. He just isnt cut out for it.

Heres what else he says: All the sales leaders and supervisors are looking for is someone to come in and complete a one 8 hour day of training then get out on the street make one sale then the first time you mess up fire you and look for the next best thing. Never mind that he cant write a good sentence. What hes NOT telling you is that our salespeople get more than just a day of training. They spend time EVERY DAY on the phone with a Team Leader, who teaches them how to sell our products and even helps them make sales while theyre on appointments. We want our sales people to succeed!

He says appointments are a big fat joke thats all I can say!!!! We dont make an appointment unless the owner agrees to it. Each appointment is confirmed, reviewed and approved by our quality assurance team. If it isnt clear that the owner understands the appointment and is ready for it, the sales rep doesnt get sent. Think about it for a minute: Why would we send reps out on bad appointments on purpose?

If you can breathe and have a pulse, this company will hire you!!!! Thats insulting to the people who work their butts off here and make a good living for their families in a bad economy.

The call center houses about 300-400 ghetto off the streets people, only qualifications for the job is breathing. This is insulting to the people who work there, its RACIST and its wrong. The call center people work hard getting good appointments for more than 500 sales reps nationwide, and they do a great job.

This company has alot of hidden fees with their processing and equipment. This is a lie, too. Everything is spelled out in a contract that the business has 30 days to cancel. And the owner even signs a contract saying they understand whats in the contract. They see everything.

I could go on and on. Hes so hateful that hell lie about anything just to try to keep people from working here. Heres what you should ask yourself: Do you want to work at a company with 100,000 business customers, and that will give you the chance to succeed if youre willing to work hard and have a good attitude?
