They are even getting up here!!! SEATTLE... Most of the comments are from the east or middle east! How much more are they going to get at? Some one has to stop them. I recently recieved Travel Agency Network's letter. They called me on 7-26-04 and the letter was postage stamped 8-4-04!!! I recieved it on a Saturday and the letter says 8-9-04 is when my free trial period ends. Well the Co. is supposedly closed until Monday and that leaves me no time to do anything. I called and cancelled with the automated system, but instead each time I call back I get the same number. THis is a run around scam! I have closed all my accounts, but I am afraid that this company may ruin my credit and state that I did not pay when I agreed to and all that. Do you guys think they would actually go after the money? PLease help me, I am still in college trying to start a BA and I don't want them to ruin me. ANything would help. THank you

I too was contacted by Capital Vacations less than two weeks ago. And I am very grateful to this website for the information provided (I became suspicious after a week when no Capital Vacations package arrived and my bank account was authorized to have money removed from it). I have not had any money removed from my account because I have already closed it. I have complained about this company to the Federal Citizens Information Center, who then told me to complain about them to the Federal Trade Commission (1-877-382-4357). The FCIC also told me to complain to the State Consumer Protection State office of the Attorney General's office (1-800-282-0515 for Ohio). Also, if you have had money removed from your account, to file a local police report as well as a better business bureau complaint. The FTC also recommended that if there were enough of us willing to file a class action lawsuit against this company, it would be the best thing. The next thing is request a credit report from the following numbers: 1-800-525-6285 1-888-397-3742 1-800-680-7289 providing them with a photocopy of social security card, driver's licence and utility bill in order to request the report. If Capital Vacations has put down something against the consumer, dispute it with the credit reporting agency and provide documents in support of your claim. I'd be willing to participate in a lawsuit against this company if anyone else would join in should file a Rip-off Report.

I went round and round with this company, but actually GOT MY MONEY BACK!!! Persistence paid off. I was unable to cancel my service. Endless loop telephone maze, no way to talk to finance dept directly; wrote letters, they did not respond, and they actually started to hang up on my calls. Did some research on the better business bureau website in the area and then did some directory searches, and found the PRESIDENT'S HOME PHONE NUMBER IS 727-367-7079!!! I called him here and got my FULL REFUND. Anyone want to consider a lawsuit? I have an axe to grind. Nicholas V Del Corso 1 Bellevue Dr Treasure Island, FL 33706-1201 (727)367-7079
