TRC Multimedia Reliable Choice ADVERTISING SCAM, PUBLICATION SCAM, DOES NOT EXIST Boca Raton Florida
In January 2016, I was contacted by phone to advertise in a vendor resource publication that was to be distributed to local Golf Communities in my City (three of which were named and I was very familiar with). The person who called said the advertising spot was going to be reserved for only two Businesses in each category in the whole area and kept reducing the price for the ad until I agreed to pay $500 for a quaterly distribution of the 60-70 page publication with wide readership.
Immediately my charge card was debited the amount and about a month later, I received an email from the "Graphics Department" to work on my ad; this went back and forth for two months, which was then finalized. I was told that the they were a little behind and the first publication would not be sent out until late Spring. I called beginning May to find out if the publication came out and where my copy was......I checked with the various Country Clubs May-June and never saw the publication and those who run these facilities said they never heard of it.
After daily phone calls, I received a copy of this bogus publication (something they must send out to those who continue to contact them for proof). The booklet is something that anyone could print off from their home computer and instead of 60-70 pages, it is 40 with duplicates ads inside; a lot of copy and paste pages, multiple businesses instead of two for each category, the same information printed on different pages, etc.
So embarassed on how the booklet looks and the lack of any distribution to these Gold Communities, I started calling the company to get a refund. It has now been a month, no calls back, no emails returned, no response to BBB of Florida. I am appauled with the number of complaints and negative feedback that this company has received and they continue to get away with this. PLEASE BEWARE!! DO YOUR RESEARCH!! DON'T TRUST ANY PUBLICATION YOU HAVEN'T PHYSICALLY SEEN!!
I hope there are some resources/groups out there that can help those who have been Ripped OFF!! I am willing to take this all the way to get my hard earned money returned.
