Complaint Review: Trevor Baum - Snellville Georgia

On February 27, 2015 I was looking for a web designer with SEO content help. I looked on Craig’s List and saw an ad for Atlanta Premier Design. I called the number and left a voicemail message. 11 minutes later I received a phone call from Trevor Baum. I explained to him what I was looking for concerning my web design, SEO content, how it would work along with the cost. We discussed me receiving a 25% discount bringing the total from $5,000 to $3,750 and that I would need to pay half ($1,875) upfront in order for him to begin the design and $1,875 at the completion of the design. He sent me an invoice outlining the costs and the services he would provide. He told me this pricing would be good only until March 7, 2015. I told him I was still shopping around and I would call him back if I thought he would be my choice to proceed with the web design and SEO content. 3/5/15 – After calling and speaking with several companies I decided to go with Atlanta Premier Design.

After speaking with Trevor and going over exactly what services he would perform and asking him to put it in writing, he told me he would send me an invoice outlining the services and would provide me with a way to pay the invoice. I paid the invoice that day. We also discussed the time line concerning when he would have a proof for my website. He said he would have the website completed by Monday March 9th or at the latest Wednesday March 11th. He asked me to send him any information or attachments I would want to go on the website. (All of these conversations did not happen in 1 phone call, they happened on 4 different phone calls and text messages that day). 3/6/15 – I sent a text to Trevor asking him if he received my e-mail with the attachments he asked for my website and he responded he did and that they were creating my web design right now. 3/8/15 – Trevor sent me a text saying they were almost finished coding my design and he was personally working on it throughout the day to have the design ready by tomorrow. 3/9/15 – Trevor sent me a text at 11:28 am asking me if I was ready for a preview of my website. I responded “Absolutely!!” Trevor sent me another text at 11:55 am of a screenshot which looks like a website. He texted me saying “Normally we would give you a temporary address to see the full site in action but our entire building has a network outage.” At 12:00 pm he called to apologize profusely for not being able to show me the website. He even offered to give me an additional $200 discount for not delivering the product on time. He said the Comcast truck was out fixing the issue now and he went and spoke with them to ask them when do they think the power would be restored and they told him in a few hours. I said to Trevor, you must have forgotten what you told me as far as a time frame for having my website completed. You said at the latest you would have something for me by March 11th and today is only the 9th. I understand things happen and as long as you can have my website completed and I am able to view it by then, I am fine. He thanked me profusely and said as soon as the power came back on he would send the website proof. I called Trevor 3 ½ hours later to see if his power was back on but he did not answer his phone. 3/10/15 – I sent him a text asking if he had any web pages for me to preview. No response from Trevor. 3/11/15 - I sent him another text asking if he had any web pages for me to preview. No response from Trevor. I called Trevor several times and left voicemail messages between 3/11/15 – 3/13/15 and he never responded. 3/13/15 – I e-mailed Trevor a letter demanding my refund for $1,875.

As of 4/23/15 I still have not heard from Trevor Baum. 4/23/15 - I filed a civil lawsuit against Trevor Baum DBA Atlanta Premier Design 6/9/15 - Trevor Baum DBA Atlanta Premier Design did not show up to the civil lawsuit court case. I filed a motion for a Default Judgement. 6/17/15 - Trevor Baum DBA Atlanta Premier Design sent me a text admitting he owed me the money & there was a mix up on the refund. He said he would mail me the check by June 22. I told him I would not cancel the court case appearance on 7/16/15 until the check clears his bank account. He apologized and said he would send me my refund check. 7/16/15 - Trevor Baum DBA Atlanta Premier Design never sent me my check. He did not show up to court and I was awarded $1980 for my lawsuit & $105 filing fee. If there is a lawyer that will take on this case to help me get the money Trevor Baum DBA Atlanta Premier Design stole from me, please get in touch with me!! Unfortunately he is self employed & I don't know if I will ever see my money.
