Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I just recently got my loan with this company. First, I got a "courtesy call" telling me that they would only let me pay by check (must be sent 7-10 days early if you want it processed on time & they called so courteously on June 13th-my payment is due on the 17th), unless I paid an extra $5.00 charge to pay by phone for each transaction. They also informed me that there is ABSOLUTELY NO GRACE PERIOD. So I bit the bullet and called on June 17th to pay with my debit card. I tried this four separate times. It would not go through. I called Triad, spoke with Scott who said that it might be on my bank's end because there was nothing wrong with their system. So I first looked up my bank account online to check it. Then I called my bank to make sure in person, and was told that everything was good. So I called Triad again, spoke with Mary. She was very rude and condescending. She treated me like an idiot. She said it was probably my account that it did not have the money or there was a hold. I told her I had called my bank, so then she repeated the exact same thing again. I said, "Ma'am, I just explained to you, I have already called my bank and there is no hold on the money and there is plenty of it in my account." So then she responded that I was probably entering my card number in wrong, because it was common for the CUSTOMER to enter the number wrong (now mind you the phone that I was using shows on the screen what numbers you entered, so ONE time, MAYBE I could have read it wrong, but FOUR - NO WAY). Finally, I called my bank and got the information to treat it as a payment by check and that went through just fine. But when I called Triad to change my due date, which I was told you may do as soon as the first payment is made (I get paid on the 15th, wanted to change due date to 25th so I can just mail check), I was informed cheerily that you may not do this until the payment has been posted for 2-3 business days, and then the change may not take effect for 3-4 weeks, but there is no way to really know for sure so you should still call and (note the sarcasm here) pay ANOTHER $5.00 fee to pay by phone for AT LEAST the first month or you may be sent to collections and they can come and repo your vehicle as soon as it becomes delinquent, which with them is the day after it is due. AND THIS IS ONLY MY FIRST MONTH WITH THEM. I DON'T SEE THIS HAVING A HAPPY ENDING. I would advise if you have a choice not to finance with this company.
