On Jan 30th, the first day my tax software was supposed to go live with IRS, only 4 of 50 states were available and many of the forms, although available by IRS, were not by the program. Requests for support and assistance went unanswered, as did (eventually) requests for a refund. I could no longer wait for a functioning program as I had clients waiting to make appointments. I filed a complaint with the TN Department of Consumer Affairs. They negotiated a settlement with the company of a full refund of my purchase price which I and the company agreed to. However, that was the last that I or the TN Department of Consumer Affairs heard from the company. TN finally had to close my complaint with a "Company failed to respond" note. I have once again emailed to ask for them to honor the settlement and am not optomistic about a response.
