I watched the TV ad for about 2 years, I finally decided to call and get this program. I called on a Saturday around noon central time. I gave my credit card info and then had to actually ask about the amount it was going to be total. They informed me that the total would be 139.98. I also was informed that I would be receiving an email confirmation with in minutes of the order being placed.

Later that day I called back to check on something. I did not get an order number and wanted it. The number I called was not the number I needed to contact for customer service I was told. I would have to call customer service Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm P. Time. I just wanted to know my order number and they rudely told me that they could not look up my order, that all they did was take orders. I called 2 other numbers and spoke with again 2 rude people.

So Tuesday I called to speak with a customer service rep about my order, once again it was someone very rude. I actually told him that they only charged me for the 1st month when i wanted to pay in full. The other thing I needed was an email from my order on Sat. He said the program had shipped out on Mon, but I still don't have an Order email. Or tracking #.

Called again today, it has been over 96 hours since I have placed my order and over 48 business hours since I have placed my order and still no email. When I called he told me it would take another 24-48 hours from yesterday's call. I ask to speak with a manager, or owner and he told me to hang on. Then he came back on the phone and told me that there was not a manager available at the time, that they would have to call me back.

I know that they will not call me back. I am honestly afraid that this is a huge scam and that I will be royally screwed over it. Why Me! Still no email or order confirmation or tracking # for my order.

I will never use this program again, Also I am very sure I will be sending it back as soon as possible. I am ready to cancel the program now and get my money back. before they screw anything else up. Horrible customer service and they will not survive with their business this way.

I just ordered yesterday after seeing addvertisement on Tv. Got my conformation and she got my Name wrong, postal code is wrong.

And on top of that she charged me $40 extra on shippings WHICH AT THE TIME OF ORDER SHE SAID THE SHIPPING WAS FREE. BUT ON THE CONFORMATION SHE CHARGED ME $40 SHIPPING.

 

Now that's a rip off. I do not care how this product is and was going to try it but now I am returing it becasue of the dishonesty. 

 

I will also report to the credit card company to let them know not to make the payment go. 

 

I REQUEST TO THE OWNER, PLEASE RETURN MY MONEY AND STOP THE ORDER. I DO NOT WANT TO ORDER FROM YOUR COMAPNY.

I had decided to purchace the product but when I read all of the complaints made about the customer service reps I was detured, all I read is apologies from the company, I have read a few apologies but no rectifications, this has truly made me afraid to order this product which I really wanted to try. I will put my ordering off as of now and wait to see if I read about the prior complaints being rectified. I truly hate this has happened to people because this is one product that I was beginning to have a little faith in. I would not want to give my credit card information to any company that would allow this kind of service. It really seems like a good product but the people that is in charge of customer service is giving it a really bad rep.

 I ordered this program mid March and was a little overwhelmed because I actually had to put some effort into my weight loss. I said to myself, this has to work, because I have to work at it, I have to read, watch the DVDs, exercise, buy different foods, snacks, and actually cook and revamp my kitchen products. I can say, if you do everything that is taught in this system, it works. I have lost 30 pounds, but I have stuck to it to "the T". If you are not willing to put effort in your weight loss program, yourself, then don't purchase it. That is the problem, people do not want to do anything, they want a quick fix. I have never ate so much healthy food, been so satisfied, and lost weight until now and I can do this the rest of my life to maintain my weight. I have also dropped my cholesterol significantly, althought it was not very high to start with. I am thankful For Robert Ferguson for doing this program. I applaud this program 100%. I venture to say, the whiners, were not willing to work at it, which, clearly, is not the company's fault. They don't deserve a bad rap like this. I am an NP and recommend it to my patients as well, but I tell them, they have to put a lot of effort into it. Isn't your health worth that effort!!!!!!!

This cumpany uses key words in rippping people off.  ie.  Did you call to place an order?  Answer yes, but after I received the information of what was being ordered I tried to cnacel.  Once you called to place your order you authorized use toplace the order and so we filed it.  I repeatedly stated that I was not authroizing the orider.  Yet the order was placed, no order number, no amount they just charged my card.

 

When I called customer service their comment was the order has been placed - we will "try" to stop the order you may call in 24 hrs to find out the status.  They take no responsibility for their actions nor do they out forth true effort to stop the order.  They want to make it as painful as possible so you just give in and accept payment out.  THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE PRODUCT.  The company that is doing the ordering are SCAM artists and the company supports this.  When I asked to speak to a suppervisor, they stated that the only way to do that was for them to transfer the call; when I asked that that be done, the statement was we don't transfer calls like this to our supervisors.

No effort to supply or porvide customer service - no attempt on their part to notify the customer of their actions or completed actions to stop the order.  SOMETHING should be done to put them out of business!!

I watched the infomercial for Food Lovers Online on a Sunday afternoon so I went to the web site (or could have called) as the infomercial said to do I could not see the cost until I put in my card number and there was no option for the items the infomercial said I would receive free and I also wanted to pay 1 time not payments that was not an option either. I tried to back out and it charged my card anyway.

After I tried to back out it took me to the online site so I was trying to get a confirmation number and thought was how I was to get a receipt. I could not find out anything except a log in so I logged in thinking that was what I needed to do to get a receipt still nothing so I filled in some information still no information, I closed the site.

The information said I would get all these free items and be able to go on line for support and if not satisfied I would get a full refund. I also went to foodloversonline.com and it even stated that they had a 3 week free trial.

I strongly suggest you update your web site to match the infomercial that is the only reason I refused the product. It may be a good product but I will never know, I email the company on Tuesday to cancel the product, but it was too late the product was already shipped I call the following week Monday after I refused the package to stop any more charges to my card. 

I called food lovers and talked to JP told him that I refused the package and was checking to see how long before I would get a refund. JP said that as soon as they received the product back and when I asked that no more charged be put on my card he said he could not.

3 weeks after I returned the product still no refund and another charge was applied to my card. I called the postmaster she said that should have received it within 2 weeks max, so I called Foodlovers again and this time I spoke to Rebecca and when I requested a full refund ($55.94 product; $64.87 online service & $27.97 1st payment) she told me that they would as soon as the product was returned. I told her that the product was returned 3 weeks ago and that the postmaster said that they should have received it last week. Rebecca asked me for a tracking number I told her I did not have a tracking number, she put me on hold to check. Rebecca said that she tracked it and that it was on the way back (If there no tracking number how can she see that it was being returned unless it was there and not processed) and that she would refund the 55.94 and the 27.94, when I asked about the 64.87 she said that that was non-refundable. I told her that the web site and the infomercial said that if I was not satisfied for any reason that they would refund all the money, she told me that since I logged in to the online that I was not entitled to a refund. When I requested to speak to her manager she refused and repeated that I was not entitled to the refund I angain asked for a manager and she just kept repeating that I was not entitled to a refunded. I did tell her that I was contacting the Better Business Bureau, my credit card company and that I would everyone how I was RIPPED OFF!

I just purchased the product this morning...i was kind of skeptical when i first started the conversation. The lady asked for my cc right off the bat. But i continued because i want the product.

So i could tell this was a older person so i made small talk about the weather. She was very pleasant. She went through her sales bit but i answered no thank you to the extras offered.

Because i am humble n dont make a fuss...i did have to ask for my own confirmation number, how much my first charge is n every month there after for five months. N she did let me know what would come in the box.

So i will wait n try it out n give a report on the product itself. My cc was charged the correct amount so hopefully i wont be duped by an old lady. N pray the product comes to the right address.

I saw the infomertial for about the 50th time and decided I am willing to try this product. I am 5' 5" and would like to lose approximately 60-70 lbs (currently 215). I just checked out the website and scanned the site for information such as customer service and email contact and all the information was there clear as crystal under contact us at the lower right of the screen (myfoodlover.com).  I will purchase this product in the next 5 minutes, try the product, then I will report again about the customer service, the product recieved, did the product work for me and would I recommend the product. And yes, I have read all the compliments/complaints but for this product, I will learn from my own experience and try it and will let you know how/if it works for me.

First of all, we apologize to anyone on this thread who did not receive excellent service on behalf of our company.  Bad customer service is something that we will never condone, nor tolerate.  That is not to say that it doesnt happen, as is evidenced by the posts in this thread, but when we do find evidence of it we address it immediately.  It is also extremely helpful when customers, or prospective customers, bring these issues directly to our attention.  Please feel free to contact us directly so that we may remedy these situations and provide you all with the excellent service that you so appropriately deserve. We will also add that there was no mention here of the fact that we have an A+ rating with the BBB.  Addressing customer conerns and complaints is a priority for us, and we have achieved such an excellent rating because we put our customers first.

I bought this product late 2012. I had absolutely no problem with customer service, talked to a very friendly lady who suggested a couple of added products one could purchase,but she was not pushy. Well, my husband and I started the 7 day size down plan (which was included) on January 13, 2013. We followed it pretty much to the letter. I lost 12 lbs. and my husband 9. I have much more weight to loose than he does so mine came off a little faster. We are now on Day 3 of the 21 day plan. It is so easy to follow, the material provides so much information, it lays out what you should and can eat (which is almost everything you normally eat) with a few little exceptions like a lot of sugar and fat.

The cookbook and recipe cards have so many delicious meals in it, you will never go hungry. The Snacks (3 or 4) between meals are great and of such variety that everyone will find things that they have always eaten. The daily CD's that you listen to are very great and give you a lot of help along the way. This program really teaches you how to eat a good and balanced and healty meal which you can certainly stick to. I have been on many "Diets" in the past with success and then the weight gain back. This program teaches you how to eat for life.

The simplest things we like about this is that all you have to keep in mind eating your meals in the right combination, that's basically it. You are also encouraged to cut down a bit on portion size, but you know with all the snacks (which can be crackers/cheese, left overs from meal, piece of chicken, chips, muffins, nuts etc.etc.etc. there are hundreds of suggestions.) you never get hungry and therefore are very satisfied with a little smaller portion and lunch and dinner. Well, thats all I have to say. I'm convinced if you adjust your unhealthy eating habits and follow along with this plan, it will work! and you can keep it up for life without feeling deprived. You can eat at lots of restaurants as well.

I too saw the infomercial and am interested in ordering, however - as "Chiquita's Frustrated" post indicates, no one has spoken about the product once it arrived!

Come on Chiquita, (and others) lets hear if:
(a) The contents of the package were delivered
(b) If the contents were all-inclusive of what the infomercial claims (did you get the recipes, the cds, the booklets, etc.)
(c) Did you try the product, and if so, for >>how long<< were you able to stick with it?
(d) Did it work >>while<< you stuck with it?
(e) If you felt it did not work, why is that? Too hard w/ the schedule you keep? Too difficult to understand the process? etc.

I too am extremely conscientious of Customer Service and will avoid a company that doesn't hold it high as a priority - however!!  I know w/ many of these products, the owner/company hires in a phone-order company to handle their front end requests and volume in order for their employees to focus on handling the actual order filling/processing end.  These folks taking the order probably have no association to the real company - however, if I were the owner (of a legit co), I'd be looking for feedback such as this to see if I should fire/keep the front-end party who's responsible for collecting and processing my orders.  Anyone w/ solid business knowledge knows that CS is the face to your business/product... (and) first impressions can keep or lose a sale in a flash..

Now, that being said, the owner/board of the company [IF LEGIT] should have their own web-site and their own customer service side of the house to appropriately deal w/ questions, concerns and refunds during normal working hours.  If consumers are finding that they have no legitimate phone # or web-site to call to communicate issues through --- then my assumption would lead to the company being a fast-money-making hoax.

Lastly, I urge someone - anyone to please post answers to the (a)-(e) questions I posed so the rest of us have something to go by... (and checkmark the "please notify me if there's a response to my post" so you have knowledge of new info and can respond appropriately.

I am new to this forum.  I just watched the infomercial and I liked what I saw.  I am a 50 year old female who is 50-60 pounds overweight and not feeling healthy.  I take blood pressure medicine and battle with cholesterol issues as well.  My 20 year old daughter is also overweight and a Type I diabetic.  We both need to lose weight and she especially needs to learn how eat healthier for her life.

The reason I am frustrated with the comments/posts that I have read so far is that no one is speaking to the produc'ts ability to do what it says it can do.  It seems people can't get past bad customer service.  I am not one to reward bad behavior and that would certainly be to support the company by purchasing the product in the wake of the company not being sensitive to the needs of its customers.  HOWEVER, in this case I am willing to put poor customer service aside for the greater good and that would be to see if it will in some way, large or small, change my life for the better.

So, I am going to purchase this product today.  I will follow it to the letter for the first 21 days and I will report back what I found.

Side note on customer service:  Poor customer service should not be tolerated by the company's owner, nor accepted by the consumer.  However, what I've read of the bad customer service here does not rise to the level of not giving the product a try.  This is no different than a person going into a store, asking for information concerning a product or store policy, and receiving a rude response from a nasty employee.  You may be angry.  You may ask to speak to a manager.  But if you see the value in the product, in most cases you will still make the purchase.  All I'm saying is poor customer service should not keep us from purchasing this product if, in fact, it works.  Please people.....POST ON THE MERITS OF THE PRODUCT!

I was going to purchase this product......but decided I should review the company first, from others whom have tried it. From what I read I would not buy anything from a company that does not follow up with customers or have the time of day for the folks that are helping their company be successful. If they don't have the time of day for me when I am purchasing the product I can't see it getting any better after I have already purchased the product. I have to disagree with the previous comment on stating that they don't care if the customer service is terrible as long as the product works..........I hope it works for you because if it does not and you make a complaint, do you really think you will get better service at that end of the conversation? I will rather be overweight than to put up with rude people who don't have the slightest care of whether you are satisfied with a product. Shame on this company for letting this happen........once people show you who they really are........believe them then! Don't wait to be taken advantage of later......that' my rant ! Enjoy your day !

This happened to me 20 minutes ago. I was ready to buy, called the number and was shocked as to how indifferent and rude the salesperson responded. The representative stated the company name, then said do you want to buy the program, then asked for my
name. I gave her my first name and didn't hear anything for about 15 seconds. I asked if she was there. She asked for my last name, after 20 seconds I asked if she was there. I was getting an awful feeling by that time. Her next question was for my credit card information. It was another red flag, so I avoided the question by ASKING her for details concerning the product offer to make sure I was getting the advertised product! She actually sighed, acted like it was a real bother. Then in the most mundane voice read a script that was very basic information concerning the product. I hung up. Then I found the first posting on this company. So glad you posted the complaint and really glad I hung up!

I can identify with this consumer's frustration over being treated so rudely.  It does give the appearance that all they are interested in is taking your money and nothing else. It also makes them appear very unorganized and not forth coming regarding customer service hours, phone numbers and so on. 

What I'm having a problem with is that your are complaining before ever having received the materials your ordered.  Your review gave us no insight as to whether or not the product works or if its as big a piece of rubbish as their customer service department.

I don't work for this company, never have and I have no vested interest in it other than wanting to know if the product really works.  I never have trusted info-martials or the photographs they show of before and after.  Photos can be retouched or photoshopped all in the same day. 

Please, please at least try the product first and give it another review.  If its a waste of time and money, then let us know that.  But if this product does everything it says it can then I'm don't really care if their customer service is rude.
