Twain Harte Rentals - Sue Houser Improper Rental Management - homes destroyed - Deposits not collected for damaged ripoff Twain Harte California
Sue Houser manages cabins in Twain Harte CA. She has also managed ours for the past couple years.
The level of service she provides has been totally unsatisfactory.
I have used a paid service to get internet leads of other vacationers that want to travel in Twain Harte. These leads are supposed to be exclusive to my cabin and not be used for the other cabins she manages under any circumstances. Upon further discussion with some of these leads I found out she was putting them in other cabins she manages. I pay upwards of $100.00 - $299.00 for these services and can't believe she would do such a practice.
When I have talked to some of my guests they had said when they get to the cabin it was a complete mess with empty beer cans in the cabin, not vacuumed, trash still in the inside garbage cans, the place stunk like smoke (we have a no smoking policy), puke not cleaned up in the downstairs bathroom, a bed was urinated in and still wet. The list goes on. her response was it was clean when she left it. "Maybe a ghost did it." A GHOST??
There was also considerable damage done to the cabin including burnt carpet, burnt couches, a broken antique chairs, a broken antique tea trolley, holes in walls, scratches on walls, trees cut down, someone partially cutting a tree with an axe, baseballs being thrown at a trailer he have stored there, and more. At no time was this damage ever mentioned during the time she managed the cabin nor were any deposits taken from guests during there stay.
We also now believe she was overcharging guests and pocketing the difference. Based on communication from other people that she also managed cabins for. She refuses to give us any records regarding the transactions of our rental.
