ok, i went to car hop because my credit is in horrible shape.  they worked hard to get me approved, but thats where it stops.  i was contacted by their finance group over the phone after i was approved, they informed me that with an 800.00 dollar down payment that i would be approved for anything on the lot.  i told them that i didnt have the 800 that day, that i had 700.  they told me that it would change some, but not much.  when i get to the dealership, they run my stuff through the finance company again, witch takes like 2 hours, and i was there for 5 hours the day before when they run me through the finance the first time.  when the dealer finally takes me to see the car, he ask me when i could have the other 100 dollars, i told him the next day.  he takes me on the lot and shows me a 99 ford, and tells me that thats the only car on the lot that the finance company will approve me for.  i tried to talk to him about another car, a malibu bout a 01 or so.  i ask him how much difference there was in the price of the two cars, and he said not much, but the finance company wont approve you for that amount.  so i take the car cause i was sitting there with both of my small children and in a hurry.  i didnt realize that he had put that i had a defurred down payment of 100, that would have to  be paid the next day.  if i still had to pay the 100 for the down payment, then why am i not approved for anything on the lot, witch is what i was told from the woman on the phone from their finance company.  the cars is an ok car, but dont like being lied to, and its not what i wanted, but its the only car the dealer would show me.  if i had not have been in such a bind and hurry i never would have taken the car.  but why did i get two different storys on what i was approved for
