We purchased a car from Car Hop in Richfield in May of 2010. We had it 2 hours and it over heated and the check engine light came on I called them and they came and got it and took it to a shop to get repaired. The shop had it three weeks(ran the gas tank empty, put gas in it and charged me for it). Got the car back and had it two days and had to take it back to shop because it would not start. In the first 3 months we had the car it was in the shop about 10 weeks of that time and we still made payments for that time. Now we fell behind and made payment arrangements  to pay on Fridays or Saturdays till it it caught up. Now if the payment is not made on Friday I start getting calls Threating me that they are goning to come get it.
We have had the car for over a year now and paid over $6000 and the Kelly blue Book says the car in Excellent Shape is only worth $4800.00 and this car is in No way in Excellent Shape. I would say it is not worth more than$3500 at the most.
UAC/Car Hop is taking advantage of and ripping people off. They also did Not tell me the price of the car till I signed the papers.

My car has Electrical problems they were suppose to fix when I purchased the car.     The car goes DEAD about every 6 mo. and has to be jump started every time I have to use it. They were suppose to have fixed this problem when it was in getting fixed last time. I am getting tired of dealing with this car and all the problems it has.

To ensure our customers are best cared for, we clearly disclose the price of our vehicles prior to sale, in the Non-Binding Offer To Purchase, which the customer signs as well as in the purchase documents.  Also, we ask each customer to view a video prior to purchase which openly asks each customer not to sign anything unless they are in full understanding of the all paperwork and comfortable with their purchase.  This extra step encourages any final questions from our customers and ensures mutual understanding of all paperwork prior to purchase.  Additionally, each vehicle comes with an 18 month 18,000 mile Warranty and a 3 day money back guarantee during which time our customer may return their vehicle with no questions asked. These are just a few examples of what CarHop does to Help People Drive.

They also did Not tell me the price of the car till I signed the papers.
- So why did you sign them?

They probably did rip you off, but you let them do it.  If you didn't bother to get the price before you signed, I doubt you got it checked out by a mechanic either.

Also, while you didn't mention any details of the car, if it is excellent condition worth $4800, based on just what you wrote you would be dreaming if you think it is worth anywhere near the $3500.
