UCB has called repeatedly at all hours of the day (starting at 4 AM) and caller ID shows their number only as 954. They are rude and demand my social security number, bank account information and all information about my finances.

They will not give me any information about themselves when they call (introduce themselves as Mr. or Mrs. So-and-So) but they say they are calling to collect on a debt reported to them by my bank. I have contacted my bank, and they say that this is not a company they have dealt with, nor is my payment plan through the bank being sent to a collection agency.

They have also called people that I know, who have repeatedly told the callers that they have the wrong number, but they continue to harrass them as well.

They repeatedly threaten me, saying that I have to pay them immediately and in full to take care of my debts.

When they leave messages with names and numbers to call them back, I get passed around and always end up speaking with the same person (Mrs. Morales). They are extremely short with me and never give me to whoever called in the first place and the extensions they give never connect me to the right person.

I can't believe this company has continued to harrass people as they have.

Cease and desist

#2Consumer Suggestion

This will stop the phone call and letters but, Please be prepared for psossible legal action. By sending this letter it will for them to take action or go away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cease_and_desist Cease-and-desist letters A cease-and-desist letter is a letter demanding that the recipient refrain from a certain behavior or face legal action. Some types of behaviors that may prompt such letters include:[citation needed] Harassment by telephone by a collection agency or junk debt buyers Stalking or other forms of harassment Property, neighborhood, and boundary disputes Copyright infringement or trademark infringement Libel or slander In the case of stalking and harassment, the letter usually demands that the recipient cease the threatening behavior or face criminal charges. In the case of property and boundary disputes, the letter demands that the recipient cease activity that negatively impacts their neighbors. Some examples include holding loud parties late at night, leaving a dog outside to bark all day, cutting down trees that stand on public or jointly owned land, or building a fence that infringes on someone else's property. In the case of copyright or trademark infringement, libel, and slander, the letter typically threatens a civil lawsuit if the recipient continues the undesired activity. It is similar in form, although not in function, to a demand letter, which alerts the recipient to a pending claim for money damages, usually as a result of a tort or a breach of contract. In the US, a recipient of a cease-and-desist letter who is placed in a "reasonable apprehension" of litigation may respond through a request for declaratory judgment proceeding in his own jurisdiction.

Do not give them any imformation such as your social security# or your bank imformation. this could be a fraud. You also might want th request a block on the # if they call again or change your# and request it unlisted , also ask the phone company not to give any imformation of your new # ask friends and relatives the same thing
