I WORKED IN THE TRAFFIC DEPT. IN CO 766 FOR YEARS 40 HRS A WEEK. THEN I WORKED ANOTHER 40 HOURS A WEEK IN VARIOUS UHAUL CENTERS FOR OVERTIME. I HAVE WORKED WITH DEALERS AND VARIOUS OTHER EMPLOYEES. I WORKED EXTREMELY HARD FOR THESE PEOPLE. THEY UNDER PAY AND PREY ON SMALL STRUGGLING BUSINESSES. I CARED ABOUT MY DEALERS AND DID MY BEST TO TAKE CARE OF THEM TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. I DELIVERED THEM TRUCKS MYSELF. IT IS A FLAWED SYSTEM THEY HAVE. THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES MY PAYING THEM MEAGER WAGES AND HEAPING STRESSES UPON THEM IN THE SUMMERTIME"MOVING SEASON" THAT I WOULDN'T WISH ON MY WORST ENEMY. THEY,TRAFFIC,AND THE "800#" ARE TOLD TO TAKE EVERY RESERVATION POSSIBLE, THEN, THE DEPEND ON AN EXPECTED IN REPORT FOR EQUIPMENT TO DROP IN A SPECIFIC AREA TO FILL RESERVATIONS. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE I REMEMBER HAVING OVER ONE HUNDRED ORDERS FOR GH'S IN ONE DAY AND BEING SCREAMED AT REPEATED ALL DAY. DON'T BBLAME TRAFFIC, BLAME JOE SCHOEN AND THE FAULTY SYSTEM HE HAS INSTITUTED. I RECALL WHEN THEY HAD 1977 TC'S IN 1998 RENTING THEM AND LITERALLY BREAKING DOWN EVERY FIVE MINUTES BUT STILL RENTING THEM TO THE NEXT UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMER. DON'T BECOME A DEALER UNLESS A)YOU HAVE AND ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF TIME TO DEDICATE TO THE SYSTEM OR B) ARE IN SUCH A GOOD LOCATION (COLLEGE TOWN). I WAS THERE. AND IT WAS BAD. DON'T WORK FOR THEM EITHER. I MADE 9.60 AND HOUR AND MCDONALDS PAYS $8. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?

I agree with both the person who posted this report and the person who posted a rebuttal. But I have worked as a dealer with U-Haul and I will tell you that Traffic can not make you do anything. Traffic employees sit in a little office, usually miles away from where the dealers are located. They can tell you all you want that you "have to rent" the cruddy U-Haul truck to someone, but I never have. If I had even thought there was something wrong with a truck I would place it out of service in a heart beat. Traffic would threaten to "take my equipment away" and I told them that I was ready to hand over the keys. Just remember, if you rent a piece of equipment and you know that something is wrong with it before you sent it out with a customer, that is on your conscious, and could possible bring about a law-suit. Bottom line-down the equipment.

I hate Traffic. They piss me the f**k off. It doesn't matter if the tranny's shot, they'll make you rent the truck across the d**n country! I know what you're talking about and as an employee, I totally agree with you! Then all of a sudden, it's not their problem. Well, f**k them! I send people to Penske all the time because I cannot let these people trust their lives and belongings to these pieces of s**t! How about how they treat their own employees. I could work 39.99 hours a week, and still not be considered full time, which f**king sucks, because they get all the benefits! And screw Joe Krueger! He's a dumb a*s p***k with a s***k wife!
