I tanned at The Ultimate Tan and Spa for several years... not any more.
The company recently started doing weight loss programs and some other services in addition to just the tanning. They push these new services on the clients every time they walk through the doors. The manager at the location I go to pressured me into going in for what she called demos of the new service. I didn't even want to go, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. When I got there, I was outraged at the level of safety and sanitation! The room was disgusting! You could tell that the sheets hadn't been changed and the implements were dirty. She also didn't clean anything up when she was done with me! The whole time I was in the room with the girl doing my treatment all she talked about was how much she hated working there, how she was so busy, and how she had somewhere to be.
I am a licensed cosmetologist myself, and it was completely unacceptable the kind of business they are trying to run, bad service, bad conditions.
If it isn't enough that they constantly hound you to buy more, more, MORE, every time you walk through their doors, they have recently started calling people at home to try to sell them things as well. I have several friends who used to tan there, all of whom have like me, decided to take our business elsewhere.
This company is a joke. Unsafe, unclean, unethical... and should be shut down.
Shame on this company's management and ownership for treating their clients so poorly. I hope their shady actions catch up with them eventually.
