Ultra Life Fitness ripoff, deceptive, fraudulent billing, unethical South Jordan, Utah
I agreed to pay a one time cost of $4.95 shipping/handling fee for a sample of their PM product. I never had a discussion regarding a membership fee of $6.00 a week to be automatically deducted from my account. It was not until I received an undated letter that alerted me to what this comapny was doing - deducting $24 from my account.
After numerous attempts to get someone on the telephone, I finally spoke to someone named "Ron". He told me that I could only cancel it over the internet. After being insistent, he gave me a cancellation number but still told me that I had to cancel it over the internet on their web site. I did cancel, however, the web site account listed for me said that the membership would expire on July 3, 2005.
Well, The company got me again because another debit of $24 was debited from my account. This company made sure that the only way I could cancel was to accept the date because I could not change it on the screen.
