unim promised to help me (as well as many others)to set us up with an online website to start and boost our business's. They charged me $489.60 so far to provide me with turnkey services, a web sight and web page, a link to ebay, art store to market on my web sight, and a link with pbnext, server and hosting fees. I prepaid all of the stated fees except for the merchant account fees. Unim took my application to submit it to their financial department (AXIN Financial) for financing. Axin declined my application for financing of quoted price of 1,000.00. If financed through AXIN, I would be required to pay $90.00 a month for 48 months - which works out to be $4,320.00 for a merchant account through them. They will not accept any other merchant service, but their's. I called several merchant services providers and found that I could get the exact same services that Unim/AXIN offered me for $150.00 to $350.00 down and $20.00 to $35.00 in fees per month. I attended the seminar that unim presented on February 9th 2004 and that's how I became connected with these people. The speakers there kept repeating the same things, 1. Anybody can do this. 2. you don't need perfect credit. 3. you can do this with little and/or no money out of your pocket. I do not have bad credit, but it isn't perfect either. It's good enough that I bought a new $10,000.00 car with it and wasn't even employed at the time. After AXIN financial turned down my request to finance my merchant account, my partners/friends agreed to co-sign the loan for the merchant account. AXIN also turned them down even though they have perfect credit and had just been qualified to purchase their 2nd home for $289,000.00 with no money down. I've discovered that the unim web co. has a monopoly in place making it impossibe for anyone to move forward in their buisiness ventures. If you can't do even one thing connected to the co. then you can't do any of it. I was signed up for unim web services and have a web page (www.karenbaumannunimstores.com) but have been prevented from utilizing these services because I can't hand them a thousand dollars to start my merchant account services. Unim has been taking out $29.95 a month for server fees, and $29.95 a month for pbnext fees. Fees they have been taking out of my checking account every month starting in February and continuing through May 2004, for services I can't even use or haven't used. They misrepresented how this works to everyone at the seminar. About 350 to 400 people attended that seminar and over half bought into the unim pkg. at $489.60 and a thousand or more obtaining their merchant accounts through them, plus the fees they are being charged every month. I'm still waiting for the "you don't need perfect credit, anyone can do this, and little or no money" they promised to surface. So far, all I have been doing is paying (being nickel and dimed for further services) money out for services I'm not getting (and that it doesn't look like I will get). When you call unim, no one answers and a recorded message tells you to leave your name and number and one of their tech supports will call you back. I have called and left my name and number and have yet to have anyone call me back. I want the name of the president/head guy of the corporation and a physical address in which to write them with my complaints, but can not get that. The only address they'll give is the web site address www.unimweb.com which only promotes buying into their company. I think that there should be a law against what they are doing and if there is, it should be enforced, or they should at least be investigated. Thank you for your attention in this matter. Sincerely;
Jason

I am glad to say that I have resolved my issues with the above companies and they have given me a full and prompt refund. I would like to thank the assistance of Mr. Owen Newell from Irvin Web works for his diligence in this matter. Mr. Newell stated that they are not in the business to retain customers who are not satisfied with their products and that he appologizes for the confusion of the seeming misrepresentation of their services. That Irvin is a ligit business that is working to keep there customers satisfied. Well all I have to say is my case is close and I like to thank the folks at ripoffreport.com for this site. For it is through this site that they found my complaint and contacted me immidiately following...so again Thank you! Guys! Keep up the great work!
