Advertising ReviewBack To Top On June 3, 2005, the Better Business Bureau contacted the company to ask them what "union" they were affiliated with. Union Workers Credit Services responded by stating "We are not affiliated with a "union."

In fact, we never represent or state that we are affiliated with any "union." Our name refers in part to the fact we provide services to union workers."

The company further states "As part of the many benefits we offer, our members automatically become part of "Privileged Card International." Part of the benefits flowing from being a member of Privilege Card International is substantial discounts off motels, hotels and resorts throughout the United States and world, and assistance in receiving the lowest airfare, cruise prices and car rentals. All of those Membership benefits are described in detail in the Membership fulfillment package all Union Workers' members receive and at our website."

Additional InformationBack To Top Randy Walls, President of the company was formerly associated with Credicorp in Dallas, TX. Credicorp has an unsatisfactory record with the Dallas BBB.

Industry TipsBack To Top Industry specific general advice

When evaluating a credit card solicitation, determine whether the offer is from a bank that actually issues regular credit cards such as Visa or Mastercard, or from a company that will only assist you in applying for a credit card. The Bureau advises caution when considering any credit card offer that requires you to pay a fee

before you can learn all the details of the offer.

Some gold card offers provide you with a list of banks that offer secured credit cards if you agree to open a savings account with the bank issuing the card. Other "gold card" offers provide you with a card which can be used only to order merchandise from the company's catalog. If you purchase a certain amount from the catalog, the company will then assist you in applying for a Visa or Mastercard.

These companies cannot guarantee that you will receive a credit card since they do not issue the cards themselves. On this kind of offer, the BBB recommends that you examine the catalog before paying a fee.

Buying Clubs

The Bureau suggests that if you are considering membership in a buying club, first compare the prices and services of the club to retail stores and other such services. Consider the amount of merchandise you would have to buy at the club's discounted prices to make up for the cost of the membership. Before purchasing a

membership, be sure that you fully understand the policies of the organization regarding the ordering of merchandise, methods of payment, finance charges, delivery and service charges, refunds and exchanges, and warranty rights.

As a matter of policy, the BBB does not endorse any product, service or business.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
