Unique Insurance Jerry & Roger Adjustors for Unique Insurance. A company that will not pay out what is owed to the consumer. Won't return phone calls. Threatens people & Laughs at you on the phone. ripoff Chicago Illinois
I have been hit by someone with Unique Auto Insurance six months ago. I was told they were waiting for paperwork, after they received their paperwork they ignored my calls and never returned a call. I worked with an adjuster named Roger and spoke to Jerry when Roger would not return my calls. It took two months for a return phone call. I called everyday three times a day.
I was offered a pitafull settlement. Not even enough to fix the damage on my car. Their response is that since they weren't at the scene of the accident they can't tell who was in the wrong so take what is offered to you and run with it because that is all I will be offered. They also said that i was a liar and just wanted money and I should go thru my own insurance company if i want to get my car fixed.
They prey on people that do not speak english and offer extreme low prices to hook people in. Internet research shows they don't even pay off their own clients that have them for an insurance company. I reported them to the better business bureau and was contacted by several other people having problems with them.
Take them to small claims court in order to get what you deserve. This company will never pay out, how these bogus insurance companies stay in business and not be shut down for freud is beyond me, they must have alot of loopholes.
They will laugh at you on the phone and accuse you of being the dishonest one wanting money, they try to turn the tables on you so DO NOT get intimidated by them. I was told by Roger that I should 'Take The Money And Run', as if I didn't even deserve the little settlement they were offering. I was hit by someone with their insurance, they were in the wrong and all I want is what it will cost to fix my car. The (non-english older people)people that hit me said it was their fault and suddenly changed their story as advised by Unique Insurnace.
They will not pay out, take them to court. Dont let them continue taking advantage of people that don't deserve it.
Good Luck and if you buy their insurance you are asking for nothing but trouble.

Mark, Sorry but you are another victim of the incredibly unethical "high risk" insurance game in the Chicago Metro area. I'm sorry to say but there are 10 to 15 companies like this one in the area. For some reason the state just lets these creeps stay in business. If the state does do something to them they just pop up with a new name and the same old crap. As an insurance adjuster I have handled many claims against these type of companies. The only way to beat them is to be a bigger insurance company with more and better lawyers than these guys have. Many times they offered me 60% reimbursement when their policyholder rear-ended ours. They owe 100% on these but won't pay it. They come up with stupid reasons like "well, your guy stopped to fast." It's absolutely insane. Unless you are wealthy or a lawyer there is no way you will get what you are owed from them. Assuming you have collsion coverage with your company collect from them. Sure you have to pay the deductible out of your pocket but in most cases that will be less than the amount they are reducing your estimate by. Your company should then go after Unique or their policyholder for the money they paid you AND your deductible. I hope all works out ok for you.
