First off I would like to say I am a manager trainee...on hold.

I was doing well in my training,my manager was cutting me small breaks in the "quota amounts" assuring me he was helping me get through trianing faster. I was really pepped up by the sales meetings, but I have to admitt they were very prolonged and over half unnessasary. I have a really good job but was looking for better money, benifits, and company stability. I had already turned in a notice when a friend brought this site to my attention ,so I retracted my notice and I am futhering my investigations.

I have spoke to the district attorneys office, the investagator had not heard of the company but is checking into this futher. If this company is a scam, which I am awaiting more solid information, they put a lot of time and money into making it look legit. They make really great promises of success with hard work, and have a lot of "success stories" from people all over the southeast present at the wednesday night corprate meetings. On the negative side this "HIRING" is being done on a very very large scale.

I have trained with people rangeing from single moms to collage graduates to retired school teachers in their 60's and with all these allagations I fear for the time capital, and hope we have all invested, but on the other hand bad things are to be said about all companies you can read some of the same things about Wal-Mart or Microsoft.

So my hope is that mabey my input can help you make a wiser choice or a least do some futher reasearch. I have been to dinner with Mr. Mingolo and several other trinees and he is somewhat off-color and flirty well very flirty but being a married woman, ignoring his distastfulness, I am not saying that makes him or his company a scam artist. Everyone is definately not professional even in the office and at big company meetings they are very casual and unserious most of the time. After meetings it seemed a few of us were always invited to go out with the managers and it always was at a bar so I cant say what went on because I always thought it best to turn the invatation down. My manager always had great answers to my scptismtem,ok I am not a spelling B champ, but thier were a lot of things that have not added up. I am still waiting to see if my customers recieve their products which don't get me wrong their products do clearly surpass the proformance of Dry chemacal extinguishers and when I sold to my family and friends I truely was teaching them about fire safety and wether or not they bought anything or not I new the things I tought them about things they already might have had or ways to keep safety products in check truly could save their lives in case of a fire.

But I also did not want to be decieving them if the companys ways of business do not turn out to be on the up and up.I know I have been long-winded I really hope something I said can help you make a good diccison if you are in the same boat I am in. So do some research talk to the consummer news station or your local D.A.'s office.

Michelle, UWSI is a scam. At present there are 2 lawsuits going on in Alabama. They are banned in several states and there is evidence that they change their name when one gets to be too known. I worked for UWSI for over 6 months in 2001 and got my "Gold Pin". I was to sign my contract, but luckily I found out the truth before handing over my $6,000 for an office. Yes, they do ask for $6,000 out of your pocket before signing your contract and putting you in an office. Also you will never be finished with your sales until the total is between $10 - $15 thousand. But they never tell you that up front or even when you ask they just say "You got to do what you got to do". My manager said that on a daily bases when ever we asked him a question. The managers and other higher ups are also involved in drugs, alcohol and sexual misconduct with the female employees. I unfortunate enough to be present for several of these questionable activities. There are many secrets that you become aware of if given time, but its not worth what you lose along the way. I lost some self-respect, other job opportunities and over $15,000 trying to get the "American Dream". My advice is to run away as fast as you can before you are dragged in with them. And warn others. I wasn't fortunate enough to have found any information on the internet about them when I looked.
