I used to work for United Auto Credit in Ohio. Trust me, these guys seek out people who had good credit and went bankrupt and now are discharged. They do it because they know they cant go banko for another 7 years. They sell you financing at ridiculous rates. They phone you if you are one lousy day late. After 3 days late ( can you believe this ) they then start calling your family members. On top of all this, if you fall 2 weeks behind -they will go VISIT your home or job and confront you face to face. They then threaten repo action at 30 days. It is mafia type loansharking. They call it 'sub prime ' auto loans. I called it the most disgusting experience i ever had as a collector. Yes, they will screw you for more payments if they dont have a buyout check in their hot little hands from the dealer u traded it in with. Even long after you traded the sucker in and are driving a new car. Just thank god you got away from them
