Hello, If you look at the other posts... This type of behavior is typical of UACC. This is why many of us have made out mission to educate as to what you can expect when dealing with this company. They will harass you before the loan is due. They are a sub-prime lender which to UACC means you are considered HIGH risk and therefore free game for their illegal collection practices. In your case: The law states if you tell your creditor you are not supposed to receive calls at work, they must cease communication with you at work. UACC will not listen to you. Also, disclosing information regarding your account is illegal as well. The only thing they can contact your references about is your whereabouts. Trust me... They don't stop here either. They actually told a reference one time they could not get a hold of me that I was a deadbeat scum bag. NICE.. HUH. So, god forbid, you don't immediately return a call. Their next step is they will send someone to your home and or office to harass you in person. And they can not arbitrarily change the due date on yur loan because it happens to fall on a weekend or holiday. I also had a 9 day grace period in my contract. They don't care. They will try to tell you that in UACC's eyes, anything over 10 days late is actually 30 days late on their books. Believe me, I can write a book about my experiences with this company. All I can advise you with this company is to never be late on your loan and be prepared to endure their harassment the duration of your loan. If you can fix your credit and refinance with another lender.. Please try to accomplish this. Make certain you are educated on the federal and state laws pertaining to your loan. UACC treats their clients as if they are completely ignorant. Hope this helps.
