Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I borrowed $300 in September due to one bad month and not receiving my commission, which showed i would owe $390 on 9/30/11.  Made the mistake of not paying attention to what was coming out of my acct and totalled $625 as of 12/15/11 and showing online i still owe $260 for payoff.  You can't get anyone on the phone, did not have access to "account summary" online, nor did i see in fine print until now that they will automatically "renew" you so you have to pay an outragous amout of money back.   I can't even cancel the payments thru my bank without the possibility of losing my accts all together.  :(

There has got to be some sort of rule against this!?

If your offended by that then by all means I got my point across.  I am out to piss them off in no way anyone has pissed them off before.  I also make more than enough money to pay back, my problem is that I have paid the loan back to those black jack jockeys almost 3 fold. Its my fault for taking the loan because I was between transfers, but when I tried to back out they said it was too late, when I am sure the over weight alcoholic on the other line just had to make a phone call.  I want to make something perfectly clear............I am not against loans, I am against John red-corn taking advantage of his "sovereign" nation policies.  I am going to declare their sovereign nation the nation of Hair-holes. Is that hole good enough to crawl into?

They are a company out to screw you, not legally in the US
but their "sovereign" nation laws that they set up themselves. Kinda
like Indian giving I guess, Heck.......Might even re-define the term.  I
have done some serious investigating, and what montel doesn't tell you,
is that Chief Gamble openly defends these actions, which you can reach
his office at 918-542-7260, and send all the hate mail you want to PO
Box 1525 Miami Ok 74355, their main office # is 918-541-2100.  And no
they are not the 7-11 indians.  But they will call and threaten and
claim they can get you arrested, but thats all a big lie to scare you.
My credit company is monitoring my reports to see if they filled a
cerdit collections but my bank is saying that they (MNE) is showing I am
fully paid. But thats after they blocked access from my online account,
and then told my bank if I could provide them with my own proof of my
payments then they will settle.  Total B.S, if it wasn't for so many
people on here that have had the same nightmare I have had then I would
feel totaly helpless, but I call their offices once a day and give them
crap, asking for the money they owe me, and if chief gamble will hand
write the check to me........lol They pissed off the wrong consumer.

Do you think you could insult anyone else? Don't take money you can't pay back. What is exactly a 7-11 indian? Are you saying that Native Americans are to blame? If so then I will say go back in the hole you crawled out of .

They're just doing business... Read the Fine Print!

Well, I hate to say this, but you stated yourself that you "made the mistake of not paying attention" and "didn't read the fine print". Yes, they will automatically renew the loan unless you call them to pay it off, but if it's meant to be used as a short-term "just until next payday loan" then it shouldn't cost that much money - just the amount you borrowed and one fee for using the service! I took out a loan from them, $300, and unfortunately I was unable to pay it off my next pay period, thus I had to renew it and pay the renewal fee. I knew this going in, as I read the fine print.

Will I wind up paying more in the long run? Yes. Is it a scam or a ripoff? No. I don't have good credit, thus I can only get an unsecured loan (I tried EVERY other avenue first, even my own bank wouldn't give me a line of credit!), and at the time, the money was crucial to keeping a roof over my families head. So I'm not complaining. I wouldn't lump this in with all of the other truly crooked companies out there, sure they *may* be taking advantage of folks in a bad financial situation, but they do give you the information about the process and the fees and give you the chance to decline the loan before you electronically sign it (and you can even decline the loan AFTER it's been deposited, if you get "buyers remorse" within one day I believe).

My opinion - if you have to take out a loan from a business like this: READ THE FINE PRINT, first and foremost! Secondly, make sure you can pay it off as soon as possible to avoid those high interest/renewal/finance fees! As the person who commented above stated, there is no "rule" against what this company is doing - it's called doing business. They are making money off of people needing loans. And as long as people keep putting off paying the loan and renewing the loans, they make more money on the renewal fees. It's called capitalism. *shrug* It's certainly not illegal, and they definitely aren't the WORST in the loan business... I shopped around, and there are FAR worse ones out there... some of them have renewal fees up to $200!!!! Good luck to you!

I have used United Cash Loans on several occasions and what you have experienced is clearly outlined in the agreement that you sign.  If they do not hear from you you will be charged interest only for 4 pay periods and then they will start paying down your loan 50.00 at a time plus the interest due from the week before's balance.  I forgot my password and username, I logged on the their customer service website and they promptly sent it to me so I could review my account.  At that point you can choose to stop the automatic renewals and pay your loan off.  If you do nothing it's get very expensive but it's not anything they don't tell you ahead of time.

and is exempt from some of the rules others must follow.

Your interest rate is almost certainly in the triple digits.

Your best bet is to pay it off as soon as possible.
