United Home Center Financing Feud Las Vegas Nevada
United Home Center represented that they would match another companies advertisement on financing for 24 months-NO Payments, NO Interest and NO Down! NO Way!!! Not even close. After all agreements were made and the flooring was being installed they called our house to tell us the terms were changing. They also asked us to pay half of a interest fee that the finance company was charging to them to extend credit for a long period of time. Not knowing any better we agreed to let them add half to our bill... $400.00, learned from speaking to the finance company that this activity is not legal.
To add insult to injury...they delivered the wrong tile, it was similar but not what we chose, we accepted it because it matched our carpet and we were down to cement so we told them to go ahead.
We had ordered 8 lb. padding and paid an upgrade price for it. They showed up with the cheap stuff and then tried to make me believe it was 8 lb. pad!!! We stood in the drive-way until they brought the correct pad.
The worst part is that we had called for weeks and the receptionist played the "he is at lunch", "she is on another call", "they won't be in until later" routine for 19 days!
The finance company got involved or I might still be waiting.
Please, be very careful if you use this company.
