Universal Accounting Centers Their Tax Course is a total ripoff for the outrageous price they charge Salt Lake City Utah
Between 2005 and 2006 I ordered the bookkeeping and tax courses offered by Universal Accounting. The promo materials were fantastic and the salespeople were top notched, so I was lured to order a whole package to take advantage of what seemed at the time a huge discount and a great offer. From the get go, I was overwhelmed with the number of boxes that arrived at my door! Binder after binder of study material. While the bookkeeping course was adequate, the support that was promised and all the incentives were nothing more that hoopla. When I started to study the tax materials I soon realized that they were mediocre. Basically, the videos were a waste of time since the instructor was lousy and did not really present the material (he kept referring us to the manual) and the materials were little more than photocopies of entire IRS publications!!! Well, I didn't need to spend that much money for information that I could have gotten free from the IRS!
I called the company repeatedly to complain about the course and to tell them that I was very dissatisfied and they couldn't care less!!!! I never got a refund and I never took the tests on their website to get their 'certificate' even tough I went through the entire course. Needless to say, I never got my money's worth and I could have used all that money to really learn taxation through far better and more economical means. I do not recommend the tax course from Universal Accounting to anyone!
