Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
When I called I spoke with Paul, he said he was the owner, so I figured I would get a straight story. I was looking for a simple no frills Business opp, he was quick to say "not a franchise".hmmm ok. Well for the price of 7,000 to 20,000 I could start my own business, displaying business cards on one of their displays. Now I had to buy 10 displays, just to get started, which cost me $7,000 which was more than I intended, but had no options, but wait, the stands were free. Oh and no shipping, woo h*o. I should been thinking in advance.

So, UPS shows up with all these boxed displays. Paul says "Oh it is very easy to place these, who wouldn't like to advertise for free, right, well after I did the 10-20 hrs a week suggested to promote these silly displays and nothing. No one wants one of these cheap things in their office, Jiffy Lube, Small mom and pop stores, grocery stores and nothing.

Well, Paul, after 9 months you r baby is going back home, Centerville Utah bound. This is such a BS SCAM I can't believe I didn't see through it.

http://www.universaladsinc.com/ 800-731-1311, if you would like to toss out 7- 20 k out the window. Such BS.

I read the lines A SERIOUS INCOME BEGINS HERE on universal advertising's web site about 3 months ago as I was looking into having a home based business. Well, I called in to 800-731-1311 and asked to be contacted by someone regarding buying in. Well, a man named Derrick Peavy ( 404-786-5036 ) called me and spoke to me several times over about going in, Once I have the $12,000, I sent it in as a cashiers check, as requested, and waited about 7 weeks for the stuff I was told over and over again that I did not need to be a salesman, that the stores would be more than happy to have this in their stores Well, I went in with a smile, and walked out with a no, over and over again. No one wanted this cluttering up the walls, and making a mess on their floors. 1 place had an advertising agency working in there. So apparently the business is more flooded that I was initially told. So then I go on these web sites and see that you can also buy the program on EBAY for much less than my initial investment of $12,000 Well, now I am stuck with this stuff, I cannot get it into stores. I have called the 888 #, and left messages, sent emails to [email protected] addelivery@universaladvertising [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] It's time to stop hiding guys, I want my $ back and to send this clutter back to you. It didn't work out for me, and I feel that is because of their lack of support and training. Their actual address is 25 S. Main St. Suite 110-B Centerville, Utah 84014 United States I am thinking of going there with a camera crew. Look for them on 60 minutes & 20/20 Their web site is hosted by a company called Wasatch Dynamics. I called in to speak to someone there and get more info, but apparently Paul from universal advertising (the president of the scam) well he told them not to give out any info to me. And to direct me to their lawyer. Hey Paul, Did you know for $7.95 you can get criminal records on ANYONE!!! I am waiting to get the records on you shortly. O also, the former president was Mr Jeff Marsh. Laura Porter was his secretary. I am going to track them down, maybe they have info.

That's pretty similar to my experience with these clowns. I spoke with a Barry Stern over there and he assured me the displays wouldn't be difficult to set up at all. I was also told I would make my money back in 6 months.

I was able to get two displays up. When I wanted to talk to Barry he told me I was a liar and that I was putting words in his mouth. Since then I haven't been able to get a hold of anybody there.

I hear ya!
I invested. Originally I spoke to Paul at universal also

Paul said "Oh it is very easy to place these, who wouldn't like to advertise for free, right?"

Well after I did the 10-20 hrs a week suggested to promote these silly displays and nothing. No one wants one of these cheap things in their office, Jiffy Lube, Small mom and pop stores, grocery stores and nothing.

Once UPS shows up with all these boxed displays I was immediately displeased. I sent the boxes back and requested my $11,000 + back. I did not start working the business, so I figured it should be no problem. Well, Paul tells me there is no refund, but he cannot locate my stuff in the warehouse and I am out of luck till January. Any ideas here anyone?

Another happ customer, struggling with your crappy franchise

Well, if you really need to hide $7-20 thousand dollars, here is a great place. This is better than an off shore account. I sent over $10,000 the Paul, the owner of Universal advertising. He convinced me this stupid business card ,,,uhh display, for the lack of a better word, would be a great source of income. This is a such a BS scam. Paul told me how easy it would be to place the stupid displays all over the city. BS!!!!. I called, visited, begged business to let me place the displays, get paid from all the busineses that want to display their cards.. Well BS. This is just a scam, I called paul, his reply was. "You piad for the displays, I delivered them, not my problem". Nice attitude, well Paul, I will make life just a little difficult for you.

Nice, keep up the good work.

Refund my friend, no one else is going to send you a check, until you clean up your past.

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, December 13, 2004

I am unaware of anyone named Christopher from Anaheim, California calling our company. In reviewing our records, there have only been 2 Christophers, 1 Christina and 3 Chrises and only 5 people from Anaheim itself that have called our company in almost five years from California and none have purchased. I am disturbed that slanderous and libelous comments and untruths can be freely disseminated so anonymously on the internet without any recourse from those against whom it is directed. We return all calls placed to us. We provide assistance through a Start-up /Success Manual and lifetime e-mail coaching to help people get up and running with their business. What we can't or won't do is run the business for them. We have successful people throughout the world running this business. While not a get-rich-quick scheme, people are making money with this but they are working at the business as well. The units also have a lifetime manufacturer warranty on them.
