Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I enrolled with Axia College in August of 2005. I was continously called by the enrollment counselor, and I have to say he was helpful, but I am finding out that was only for his benefit. Since that time I've had nothing but a nightmare with the so called school. I know that I've had a least 8 financial counselors, and 9 different academic counselors. I just got a new academic counselor in the month of May, today I called to speak with the financial counselor, and found out from her the academic counselors last day is tomorrow.

I've been reported as an early withdrawal, and now I am getting calls from this company called EdFund. I noticed there has been a tuition increase without any notification to me. My financial counselor, just told me she was sorry there was no notification, they tried to do their best to let everyone know. I find that very funny because when it is time to apply for financial aide, or to have your verification done, they will surely notify you then.

I had an over payment with a block of classes in August of 2006. I had a credit on the account, and then all of a sudden it was gone, when I inquired about it with my then financial counselor, she tried to blow it off, and tell me not to worry about it. I insisted that she investigate it, and get back with me immediately, I had to call her over a several day period, but when she finally did, she told me the payment has been accidentally credited to another account, but it was applied back to mine, I also had her send me a letter, and an e-mail confirming this with the credit amount.

She seemed to be annoyed that I would have her to do this, and I let her know that I did not appreciate it, especially when this is money I have to pay back.

I've had to delay starting a new block of classes twice, because the tech support department could not get my information to work, when I was transferred over from Axia to UOP. I really wish I'd stayed with them, it would have been a little bit of a less headache.

I am totally disgusted by all of this, my daughter was going to sign up for these classes, and I told her not to do it. One can only hope that this will get better, and after hearing that most companies do not recognize a degree from UOP, I am aganist furthering my education at all. This is all a hoax, and I know I worked very hard to achieve it.

Thank you so much for the information. We all need to unite, and fight this issue together. This school is about the same as the predatory lenders for the mortgage companies

E-mail address to the director of the dispute office. His name is Lee Finkel. I sent him e-mails with similar complaints, and he made it sound as if I'm the only one that has ever had a problem with UOP. Even though he may not help you because he is under the control of UOP, maybe he'll realize that ther is a problem with the company. [email protected]
