University Of Phoenix Online, Admissions Counselors, Academic Counselors, Financial Counselors UOP made it easy to get into classes but did nothing to help keep me there. Rip-off! Phoenix Arizona
UOP admissions counselors, academic counselors and financial counselors have caused a great deal of grief in my life. UOP made it very easy for me to get into class. I was told that I would not incur any out of pocket expense for 12 to 15 months. I took two classes and was billed for $1900.00. I was told my financial aid was disbursed in two increments. I was told financial aid did not pay for the first year of college. I was told this only after I agreed to attend classes.
The financial aid counselor was rude to me. He made me feel inferior because I do not have the money to pay them. He told me it was my responibility to get my finances together before going to college. I asked him wasn't he supposed to be advising me on this end and he informed me that he just took calls he didn't work miracles. I feel that UOP has not upheld there end of the agreement. They would not make payment arrangements. The only was they would work with me is if I gave them cash or check. I was told to call the academic counselor I was assigned. I was given four in 10 weeks.
My admissions counselor changed twice. The only person I couldn't get rid of was the financial counselor and he was rude, he lied to me several times and everything I asked him about he told me that was not his field. I have dropped out of college because I was lied to about the expenses. I applied for two scholarships at UOP but they said they never received them. This school must be stopped before they bankrupt America.
