Bought 8- Powerstroke 7.3 injectors. Recieved them after they charged my cc 1500.00 plus 600.00 core fee Had mechanic install them and injectors failed and sent back codes. Nate from UDP told me to drive the truck for 100 miles and see if the codes cleared. I did and took truck back to mechanic. Codes still were showing and engine was spewing raw diesel in exhaust. Called and emailed for three days and got no response. Finally I got ahold of Nate and he told me they would not accept the return since i had driven 100 miles.

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, April 29, 2016

My name is Nate, I'm one of the owners of the company that this complaint is about. I spoke with customer and advised them that the injectors needed time to get the air worked out of the high pressure oil system. We typically recommend driving for 100 miles. Originally the truck was throwing contribution codes for two injectors. After driving the customer stated that only one contribution code was present for #7 cylinder. A replacement injector was offered to the customer, and they refused, stating that their boss had decided to pull our injectors out and was buying OEM injectors. I explained to them that we have a no return policy on injectors that have been installed, but we will replace any injectors that are bad. I did fail to communicate with the customer one time, when they called on 04/25/2016, because I was out of the office and did not see any message that they had called. That is entirely my companies fault. However, when they needed help prior to that I responded immediately to them to work out the contribution codes. Also when I got the email from them stating that they wanted to make a return, I also contacted them immediately to see about getting them a replacement and working through the issue. My offer still stands to replace any faulty injectors with this set and provide a good running set of injectors to this customer. At this point we have no idea if it is truly an injector failure, a compression issue with the engine, a faulty installation,of the injector or any other reason for the #7 contribution code.
