Just want to warn people to stay away from Unlimited Products or Unlimited Performance Products in Hesperia, California. I recently ordered a fiberglass bolt on hood and fiberglass reproduction fenders for my 74 Chevrolet Nova. I talked with one of their representatives on the phone which completed my order and arranged shipping that I would be COD.

When the shipment arrived I looked at the so-called reproduction fiberglass parts and found that the fenders were not even close to factory replacement fenders. It was missing the inside flange that you mount the hood hinges to and there is not enough fiberglass around the wheel well opening to mount your wheel well liners. There are a couple of the body mounting holes missing too.

I contacted Unlimited Products to find out if this is a bad mold (defective) or if they don't reproduce fenders to the OEM standards. If they didn't reproduce the fenders to the OEM standards the sales representative should have told me that over the phone and that "their" hood would not work with "their" fenders. Well almost 2 months later I am still waiting for an answer on what they are going to do with my order. They continue to blow you off on the phone, call back in 20 minutes or we will call you, which neither gets a resolution. There have been a couple of representatives (Pam and Crystal) on the phone that admitted that the products were defective, but they couldn't make the final decision.

So trying to get a hold of the managers (Vikki or Victoria) is almost impossible. I told them that I just want a new set of fenders or a refund for the defective fenders plus shipping. Finally getting to talk with Vikki she said she would look at the fenders and make a decision, so I should call back in the morning. I started calling her the next day at 9am when she said she would be in, with no response. I called every 30 minutes during the day and never got ahold of Vikki.

It has basically come down to me spending another $100 to ship the merchandise back to them for a refund and not getting them to send me new fenders. I talked with Crystal on the 9th of May and told her that I was going to bite the bullet to send the defective merchandise back to them. Crystal stated "ok I will watch out for it". I ended up sending my merchandise through DHL on the 10th of May and it arrived at the door steps of Unlimited Products on the 13th of May. I found out through tracking information that they refused the delivery of the merchandise.

I ended sending them an email and this is what I received.... "DHL does not deliver with any paperwork, just a computer to sign. These items must arrive with paperwork (bill of lading) or such. As we do not know who sent them or if it is collect, COD or fright prepaid. We called DHL, they would not give any info or paperwork. It is not your fault, but DHL's system doesn't follow our return policies. I suggest you get DHL to fax or send a "delivery" freight bill to us for review. Thank".

Ok first I had to pay to send the merchandise back, so I should have the option to choose any shipper. If there was going to be an issue with DHL as a shipper they should have told me that upfront. Second, if it didn't have a bill of lading (shipping label) on the merchandise then how the hell did it ever make it there. Plus they would have asked for payment before they tried to drop off the merchandise. Third, I checked with DHL and they have no record of Unlimited Products calling them about the package. Seems like they were looking for another reason to screw someone over again.

So I am just going to see what my credit company can do now since I made an effort to send the merchandise back. Hopefully with them having more than 100 complaints at the LA Better Business Bureau (labbb.org) I will get some resolution to this issue. So beware of this company because they will screw you over if they can.

Well some time ago I finally got this issue resolved with Unlimited Products through my credit card company. After going after them for 8 months, submitting pictures and letters to my credit card company I finally received a refund of this defective sh*t. Unlimited Products didn't even contact me to get their merchandise back....wonder why, because it is junk. If you made the choice to purchase products from this company and you feel like you have been screwed over, don't give up on pursuing them to get your money back. The crap they do will eventually catch up to them and bite them in the a**.
