The same day I reported all of this to ripoffreport.com and Texas Department of Insurance (who is still investigating), I spoke with the rep from Claims and Benefit Management. She told me that her supervisor approved our refund. She told me that the check would be mailed in 7-10 business days. (This was on Thursday or Friday last week) Much to my surprise when I came to the office and started sorting Saturday's mail on Monday morning.....there was a check. I didn't recognize the envelope and the name on it said "Claims and Benefit Management". After a long weekend, I had thought "that sounds familiar" and started saying it in my head repeatedly. Then it hit me....HOW COULD I FORGET?? The refund was actually printed and sent???? HOLY COW, THEY WERE TELLING THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOO h*o!! So, for all you that are going through the same thing, there is hope..you just have to be persistent with these scumbags. They know they are doing wrong, just threaten a bit and they buck up. I will post more updates when I receive them!
