I sent back the laptop along with a long detailed letter . I mailed them both certified and the laptop I also insured. I just got back the signed delivery cards so now I am preparing to mail a letter to A-1 Leasing with the copies of everything. We also went to our bank on the 12th of December, the day before our lease payment was to be debited. We went to the bookkeeping dept and they told us that all they needed to do was put a one time stop-payment on that account and on our other one. They only charged us $25 for both and it will stay on indefinitely. They also got the last 2 months of payments credited back into our account. They already had A-1 Leasing's bank info, so they took the money out of their account and back into ours. So we at least got almost $300 back. So far no response or anything else, but I will update if anything happens.

Speaking from experience you have to be careful dealing with these people. You can't just stop paying the lease. You need to return the products or they consider you still committed to the lease. Send back the computer certified mail with insurance, get signed confirmation that they received the package and include a letter exposing their scam and informing them that you have filled formal complaints. Tell them not to send back the equipment and that if they do you will not accept it. Then send A-1 Leasing a similar letter demanding that your lease be dissolved and inform them that you are no longer in possession of the leased products. Send them a copy of the confirmation signature from USA Card Services. Also inform them that you recognize the combined scam and let them know that you have filed formal complaints. Close your checking accounts after given the bank a written explanation of the fraudulent activity. Notify the credit reporting agencies. They can and probably will try to withdraw from your other accounts or credit cards. In fine print on your lease it states they have access to any means to get their money.

You never send anything free back. Especially when you got it from a scam. Close the account. Try to get all your money back. Tell the bank you were defrauded. Do NOT open a new account at the same bank, because sometimes they will put charges from the OLD account onto the NEW one. Don't send any kind of payment to this company. Especially a check with your NEW account on it. Laugh at them. Don't get into long-winded arguments with them, or ask them why they did this to you. They are crooks. They want your money. You can't talk morals to a thief. When they call, and they probably will, let them talk to the couch cushion for a while. Or the end table. Your choice. You set the phone down. You DO NOT get into long, useless arguements with idiots. If they send you papers in the mail, turn them over and use the blank side for scrap paper. Grocery lists and such. Don't ever pay another dime. I don't care if they say that they have a missile point directly at your house. NO MONEY. Do you want to put these scams out of business? Cut off the money. Then, stay the hell away from these e-commerce scams. If you spent a week doing research, like I did a long time ago, you'd see that that there is no money waiting for you on the internet. Less than 5% of all websites actually make money. Didn't know that, huh? All you have to do is look at the long list of website names (domains) that millions of other web retailers (idiots) tried to use. They all ended up pouring thousands into a black hole before they finally woke up and came to their senses. Go to the library. Research e-commerce. I did. That's why I spent exactly ZERO dollars. I could see that the whole e-commerce nonsense was a long shot, at best. While you're down at the library research starting a small or home business. It's amazing just how many people skip all that free information that's available at their local library and go straight for the scams that end up costing them hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.

when you closed out the checking account from which they were debiting the lease payments from, did you open a new one at the same bank or did you change banks? somewhere on here i read that they started debiting another checking account after the other one was closed and also something about payment from a credit card. they don't have any of our credit card info but we do have another checking account at the same bank; it's my husband's business account. could they debit it or my new one? the authorization from had an attached voided check for only the one account.

Since you closed your bank account and sent the computer back what has been done? Have they sued you or filed a collection on you? I am just worried about that. When I filed the rebutal about the law suit your comment was the last one on that page. Sorry!

Jennifer I am sorry to hear that you all have been scammed also. I was scammed in April and had the same problems with the website they promised. I sent back my computer and closed my bank account last month. I was to have a payment taking out on 11/15 and it did not happen. They did not take it out of my personal account or my credit cards at this point that I know of. I did contact the State Attorney General in Texas, Arkansas, and Massachusetts to file a fraud complaint. I received a letter back from the investigator from my home state of AR and he contacted USA Card Services. He attached a letter from them regarding my complaint and they lied, lied, lied....They stated they did not make cold calls...lie, they stated that the process took place thru multiple phone calls over 48 hours and that I had ample time to reconsider before signing the lease...lie, and they stated that I was placed at the top of the search engines through the pay per click campaign..true...but that is not how they told me I would be on the top page of all the major search engines. I also sent a certified letter to A-1 Leasing informing them that I was no longer in possession of the leased items and they could contact USA Card and that I want my lease dissolved immediately. I have confirmation that they did receive the letter. I have not heard back from them and will be sending another letter soon. I also contacted the Federal Trade Commission to file a complaint. I urge you to file complaints to the Attorney General Consumer Fraud Division in your home state, in Texas where USA Card resides, and I think Massachusetts where A-1 Leasing is. Also go to the Federal Trade Commission web site and file a complaint. The more complaints the more notice and maybe this will be stopped. I encouraged the investigator from AR Attorney General's office to review this site for more proof of the scams. Good Luck Also you made a post on my report regarding the class action suit. I did not post that note about putting together a suit. That was a Kristy from Stuttgart, AR. I am not sure why that is under my report!
