Usapayment deceptive sales practices & changes buyout costs ripoff Brentwood Tennessee
When I signed up with USAPayment the sales person told me that credit card processors did not have contracts. He also failed to mention that therewas a lage fee to start the contract.
After I was with them for several months they added an additional $15 a month fee on top of the current fees.
I talked with another provider on Oct.3,2006 & was told to call to see what my "buyout rate would be. I was told that it would have to be figured by an accountant, so USAPayment would call back with the amount. The next day I was given an amount of approximately $511.00.
When I called again on Oct.31 to cancel the contract, I expected to see the quoted amount deducted from my checking account. I was really surprised that I saw $631 deducted from my account.
If the original quote would have been $631, I would have expected & accepted it. But after the experience that I had with the salesman, I was very upset by the difference between the 2 buyout amounts.
I know that I am better off without this company, but I do hope that others will read this & learn from my experience. Do read every word of a contract & do not sign anything under pressure.
Ask for the contract to be left with you until you have time to read it. If the salesperson won't leave it, then don't do business with that company.
