I've been with USX since 06 and found them to be very accomodating.i went on leave for surgery and upon returning my job was there.any time i've needed to be home they got me there, but i don't turn down low mileage lds because they always made it up to me.your job is what you make it and i don't believe half the stories people tell.with the shortage of drivers, companies don't want unseated trks so if you get fired theirs a reason.and it's not always the company's fault.no company is perfect, just like no driver is perfect, but if we as drivers focus on safety more and less on pointing blame we'd be much more productive, and have more money in our pockets.if i was a dispatcher i'd be giving the miles to the driver who's on-time and gets the load there safely.80% of my loads were not on time but ahead of time, because i take pride in knowing i accomplished that run without mishaps.Am i perfect?far from it but i stride to be the best driver i can be not only for the company but for myself.I may not own my truck but i treat it like i do,it's my home away from home.so if you take pride in your ride, appearance and self worth in the long run you will get rewarded..Tim 01938

Jeanine you said "I know who was behind it and I had no choice but to quit because they were just going to make my life a living hell until I quit. This person is a driver liaison in Oklahoma City and now has my exroomate working at terminal and living with him. What does that say? He and I did not get along because he was always getting great runs for my roomate and I reported it to his boss." First let me say I know who you are talking about at OKC and he is no longer working for USX and I must also say that the lady he is with is not a OTR driver so how could she be getting better runs than you were.? I should also point out that the driver liaison is not the one giving out loads. One thing I don't understand and maybe you can help me with is if you where in Charlotte, NC. when you found out about what was going on at home and you lived in Arlington, TX. then why do you call the police in Baton Rouge, La..? You said "At same time my miles dropped from 3,000 to 4,000 a week to $300 a day" now let me get this right your miles went from 3,000 to 4,000 a week and just why would you be unhappy with getting 33% more miles a week then went to $300 per day.? 65mph X 11hr = 715 miles per day and at $300 per day you were making $2.38 per mile I work for USX and I have never seen someone make that kind of money.what I think is you need to start by telling the truth. you said "USX has ended my career as a driver because of five so-called accidents. I have never had a moving violation, DOT reportable accident or even been late on a load. Three of these accidents are over three yrs old, but when I apply for a job and USX tells them I had five accidents while I was with them the companies automatically become disinterested in talking to me." you make a point of saying "DOT reportable accident" but you did have 5 accidents and most companies don't want an unsafe driver. USX is not the only one that has the AUTO-SHIFT so you can look around you could also go back to the school you went to and pay them a little so you could drive a 10 speed and get your timming back.
