My husband and I wanted to rent and sell our timeshare because of hard times and since we were not using it. We received several calls from companies offering tohandle the advertising for us and help us with renting and selling.

After long consideration and hounding phone calls we decided to go with Vacation Property Marketing because they gave us a better price we can get for both. We spoke to Victoria Tomas who was very convincing at selling herself and this company to us.

Victoria made promises to us that she would have us renters in 30 days because of conventions that were going on and 180 days on the selling. I was very skeptical at first because of her strong tactics and she kept calling even after I told her my husband was in the hospital and we couldn't afford it at the time.

Vicotria continuing calling and stating that I should trust her 1% and she would earn the rest of the 99% and she understood what we were going through and she only had our best interst in mind and she would guarantee to make us money cause thats how she make money when she rents or sell a timeshare.

So we were fooled by her lies and manipulation and paid for the services we got a deal in the amount of $499 because of a deal they were having and our hard times. But, speaking to other companies that is the price they charge original so that was a sign right there something wasn't righ with them.

After about a month I called Victoria to inform her my husband friend was going to rent the timeshare and she told my husband she already rented the timeshare for two weeks and she was just waiting for our paperwork and we should get the check on the 17th of July.

Well the 17th came and went and no check in sight. I called Victoria and she informed me that the check was mailed and for me to call her and get a tracking number.I called and she said the computer was down.

I called the next day and receive no anser so I left a message. She never returned my call at all. My husband finally got through to Chris and he informed us she NEVER rented the timeshare it was all a lie. When we ask why did she lie he had no answer.

We called and called and got nothing. My husband finally got through to Victoria and she told him we were not communicating and hung up on him. Very Unprofessional. I called and spoke to Chris again and informed him of what happen.

He still had no answers for me and promise he would get her to call us back and report this to his supervisor yeah right I don't think there was a supervisor cause she never called. I just got fed up with their lies and ask my husband to contact them.

My husband called and Chris informed him that someone will be trying to resolve this and they had a big convention coming up in August and they will guarantee to sell or rent our timeshare.

Well it is August 7 and nothing yet so be careful when deciding on renting or selling your timeshare. I also research this company and couldnot find nothing on them but they did use another name previously.I should have followed my instincts and not dealt with them at all.

After reading the other complant and they have been waiting 5 months I am very very upset and have to realize they ripped us off. it is a shame that someone will prey on a person at their weakest time. Victoria knew we were not in a good place financialy and she still manipulated us for her profit and gain.

Will update if we hear from them which i truly doubt at this point

Oh you are definitely on the ball buddy! Quit going to your doctor then by your own rational. Seriously. Stop.... and think about what you just said really. Shhhh, don't speak, just think. Are you fine? Now read on if you must...


I feel compassion for the people that did not get the service they expected. It is horrible and hopefully someone within the company will rectify it for them and their agent has been fired or has left on own accord.

But as I said and say again, the agent I had did well for us, if I can say something good for the people that provided a service that met my expectations then I will speak. Your comments are out of line to the fullest extent, unless you are a family member of these people or the person themselves. Keep in mind I NEVER down played their horrible situation, only suggested they might have gotten a horrible rep. Hmmmm...I shall quit going to my doctor now. Thank you so much for your unintended insightfulness.

Me work for them? What a knee jerk comment. They work for me and did quite well. Do not be sour. Do your homework on a company first. I would hate to think that you are just a flippant with you money as you are your words toward an individual. Why would I not say something good in rebuttal to someone's bad experience should mine have gone well?

Whereas the person that felt ripped off on here has a valid and informative reason to post, and as I also have valid and informative reason to post, you on the other hand are just ranting. Their bad experience, my good experience, you just making comments. Not a bit of help to anyone reading.

Speak from first hand experience as a timeshare owner personally dealing with the company before you make suggestive comments about ones employment and reasonings for commending a persons work ethic.

Now if you do personally have experience with this company, good or bad, then by all means make a post and help keep us alerted.

 I will be the first to say something if i feel I have been duped! Absolutely without a doubt I will say something. BUT the people at VPM rented our timeshare with no problems, kept in contact with us and we profited nicely!!!  Oh I had doubts as well folks, believe it. I get phone calls all the time!!! But this company delivered on what they said they would do. I am very happy and have given them my other property as well. Hmmmm, maybe I am the oddball? I know there are scammers out there but I feel ultra comfortable with these guys and my wife as well, which is hard to do! Like many other timeshare owners my wife and I purchased timeshare property with NO intentions of buying when we took the infamous "one hour" tour. Somehow during this process I ended up with 3 weeks in Daytona during Spring Break month BUT we have grown tired of it over the years, my son has no interest in it for his family and selling seemed a viable option. We already knew about companies that would list our property and never hear from them again, so yes, we were leery. Phone calls upon phone calls come all the time regarding the rental of our property, or sale of it, doesn't stop as long as we are deeded timeshare owners. Come to find out that makes my wife and I public record. I get 3-4 calls a week sometimes! Anyhow...after receiving a phone call from a gentleman named Serge from Vacation Property Marketing, and listening to why their program is different I told him I would discuss it with my wife and get back with them. Yes I looked online, they seemed to check out just fine. BBB gave them a B- and Online Business Bureau has them with 0 complaints over the last 5 years or so.  I actually was online and the phone at the same time while discussing it over with Serge. I checked other companies doing the same and let me tell you folks, it is scary!! There are companies with C, D and F ratings and these guys checked out fine in comparison. Take a second and check it out. I found not one company with a higher rating, so go figure. Anyhow... So the wife and I decided to call Serge back and give their company a try. I paid $785 upfront, was explained the laws regarding this and they took on the rental of 2 weeks out of the 3. So now we wait and see, stress a bit in the mean time if we made the right move or not, called once over the next month just to reassure myself they would be there. Serge was out of  office  but I did speak to another associate that said he would make sure Serge called back. next day he did and I left that conversation feeling better. I am not naive folks, I am cautious with my funds. 2 months later we received a phone call from a woman Gina. Very nice girl, articulate and professional, she said she had offers on one of the weeks and would email them to us to review as well as go over them right then and there. I was estatic to say the least. The properties were put on the market for $2500 each (told that was standard starting rate for a 2/2) with us entertaining all offers they send of  course . The LOWEST offer was $940 and the highest was $2100. Obviously we took highest offer. That following week we received another call from Gina and she had offers for the second week.... which btw had offers in the price range, although someone did offer us like $500 for the week! lol, no thank you! All my wife did was make the  reservations  for the company and the other family's name (the second week went to a family, not a company) and about 2-3 weeks later we received 2 separate checks in the FULL amount for the offers we took!! Worked out great!! We recouped our initial cost to sign up, rented both weeks and made decent money as well.  Sorry folks, no complaints here! I can only speak well and highly of Serge and his team as they definitely took time to explain how their program differs from a standard "listing agency" and did whatever it is they do to get my property rented! We made OVER 4 GRAND people!!!! Can you fathom how happy that made us? None the less we have told them to rent these out every year and if we decide to sell them you can bet I will have Serge and his staff handle the job! So I can say with all confidence Serge and his crew did us right and actually exceeded our expectations. I would be the first to complain and let the world know if they had ripped us off, unfortunately not enough people praise when good is done.  It's very possible you got a bad representative that only care for himself personally? doesn't mean the rest are jerks. Call and speak to someone else. I bet that person isn't even there any longer if I was to call Serge and ask. None the less, THANK YOU Vacation Property Marketing!!  Check them out people. Check others out. Then make your decision. I can only speak for my wife and I and we are VERY VERY pleased and have recommended several other owners we know whom will surely post up their experience as well. I don't care if they made you a million dollars.  If they hurt or damage one person with bad business or hired a bad employee it is still their fault! 

You sound like you work for them with your long winded story about what a great company they are.  Cut the sales pitch and the crap, they messed up a person's life and that is unforgivable, no matter how much you made in your deal.
