I started taking boxing and kickboxing lessons because a few of my friends do, so I went over to Valko BJJ at Hifi and was put with instructor Mike Cannon. Things went well at first but then he said he could have me get lessons from him on the side which he said would be a little cheaper since he didnt have to give a percentage back to Valko. Right there i should have known it was probably a scam since he seemed to be scamming his employer but I went with it. He made sure I paid him in cash in advance which i did. Then when I went to follow up, he acted like he didnt know what I was talking about, whispered under his breath to me not to mention lessons on the side while we were at Valko. And now he is claiming I never paid him, going, "what money?" Unbelievable. Last time Im giving cash without any contracts or way of tracing it. So now he has my money from both paying at Valko BJJ and when I gave him cash for lessons on the side. What a ripoff this place is and why hes allowed to be there when hes stealing his employers customers is unheard of.

This story is fishy on many levels, starting with the fact that Mike Cannon is not an instructor at Valko BJJ, but a student, and rarely to never trains in the boxing class, where he was supposedly instructing during this incident.  Also, it's not clear at all why the person filing this complaint would take to this webstie rather than tell the owner of Valko BJJ what happened, if he really thinks that Mike is "scamming the employer."  Also, why this person would pay Mike Cannon for a membership at Valko BJJ makes no sense when the way to purhase a membership at Valko BJJ is online, not with cash.  This complaint reeks of fraud and it should be removed and the author should reach out to Valko BJJ and discuss the situation like an adult if there actually is a situation to be discussed.
