Ok on sept of 2000 myself and my ex wife bought a home through love homes & Vanderbilt Mortgage (god that was a mistake)

In our time with vanderbilt our payments were on time for 6months, we then notice that they were sending us letters of no payment and then sent out a notice of repossion. I try to contact the guy that had sold us the house. well he quit the dealership were we had bought the house, and didn't even send in our full amount of the downpayment(that's another story).

well i contacted vanderbilt directly and they had told us that they never got payments for almost 2 months, well i told them they either find them or i would bring legal hell to them, well they repoed the house b/c of me threating them with legal hell, and that the house was going to be moved from the park that we had it in. well from this date of 7/2005 the house still is in the park and was never moved for its location.

all vanderbilt is good for is to rip ppl off that work hard to have a place to live and never buy a house with clayton homes nor have ur house put in a arc park

make sure they get your payments

I dont know if this will work or not but if you are having problems with the company saying they are not receiving your payments I would suggest you sent all your payments by certified mail with returned receipt. It only costs $4.42 to mail a certified letter and Vanderbilt will have to sign for it. Doing a check by phone with Vanderbilt costs $10.00. You will be actually saving money by sending it certified. Even if they don't deposit your check you know for a fact that they received it because they had to sign the little green card to get the envelope. It may not help but if you decide to file a lawsuit against them you can at least prove that you were making your payments in good faith. Make a copy of the check before you mail it. You will get the green card back in the mail after they have received the mailing.
