Michael, it's sad to see that Vatterott is still the same way I remember it. I graduated around 2006 with my AOS and still can't get a job in wich i went to school there for. I first started out with Visual Basic.net. At that point my experience in learning was fun, clear and concise. We used all our books, though we did not use all the material in those books because of time restraints, and we earned our grade. Every thing went down hill from there. First the staff kept comming in and out of the proverbial "rotating door", all of them very unhappy with the way Vatterott was doing buisness. This went on for my entire time there. Most of my teachers completely lost interest in teaching, and I spent most of my time in class just setting there trying to learn the material on my own. When the teachers were involved, it was only the bare minimum of instruction. When it came time for the test, they did give out answers to what was on the test. The only exception was a teacher there named Chris Black who was a wonderful teacher, and really the only reason I stuck it out and went for my AOS. In the database class, even the teacher couldn't get anything to work on the computers. In the photoshop cs2 class i noticed that they were putting the photoshop program on the computers using a CRACK key generator. In the video editing class, there wasn't even a teacher to teach us anything. Most of the books that were issued, that we have to end up paying for out of our own pockets, weren't even used. There comes a time when the loan companies ends up over paying the school. Now you can either sign that money back over to the loan company or keep it to use for things like helping you out for gas back and forth, etc. I decided that I would like to keep the money to help me out in gas and extra books that would accually help me out in class. I kept getting the run around from Vatterott for months on end. At one point they were not even going to give the money to me. I had to raise such a stink about it over and over that they finnally just gave in. Not only did they give the overage to me but to the rest of the students that were owed theirs. I almost forgot, at one point when i was talking to a tec teacher about coupling my programming skills with computer tec skills, he just look at me and said "Anywhere but here". Needless to say my overall experiance at Vatterott was a nightmare. I wish I would have writtin this years ago to save people like poor Michael the pain and fustration of going to that place.

I attended the OKC branch it 1999. I went for Electrical. The first 2 semesters we had a good instructor. I learned a lot. Then the guy quit. then the next semester we got a guy that didn't teach and just had us read the books the entire class time. No teaching. I got fed up and quit. I wish to this day that I had gone straight to a Lawyer. Because I hve had to fight the Loan all these years. They will make you pay that Loan. And all you get are a Box of tools and Books. Big time Rip Off!
