After hearing about Verifico I created a free account with them in November of 2012. After my having so many experiences being scammed by so called "funders"and "financiers" the idea sounded great a refreshing; to actually find and work with a pool of professionals who are "verified" and authentic and who actually provide the service they claim to provide instead of taking one's hard earned money and running.
The idea is grand in itself but like many things it is sorely flawed. There have been (and still are) several service providers who have gone through the "6 step verification process" and who proved themselves little more than scammers and time wasters. Several friends of mine have been ripped off and lied to not only by these so called service providers but also the verifico staff have shown themselves to be quite aloof and impotent in handling these incidences of theft and deception by these so called "verified" providers.
In their mission statement the clearly state that this company's process for allowing any service provider to offer their services on the site is met with thorough investigation; what they call a "6 step verification process." Several times (4 out of every 6 service providers) have shown themselves to be false and clearly liars who somehow "passed" this verification process and can be found on ripoff report. Some of these service providers have change their names.
To add insult to injury; in ever instance when the service provider proved to be false and not provided the service as a agreed, the verifico staff would rarely make themselves available to deal with the problem, failed on several occassions to return phone calls to those client who became victims and in every case became defensive and arrogrant. One of my friends even claimed that the Strategic Partnership Director Leila Fiorentino simply slammed the phone on here when she inquired (and rightly about the doings of some service provider who was found on ripoff report and who did not provide the services as agreed). Subsequently my friend was told that verifico is not responsible for the actions of these service providers, yet its stated clearly in their mission statement that they have carefully investigated each provider and they tag these providers which they verify with the verifco seal of approval.
I strongly suggest that anyone seeking legitimate service providers and funding, look elsewhere and be certain to have any money you pay to a service provider ONLY put into escrow pending the outcome (if they provide the service as agreed."
Fiortentio hasn't realized yet, but there are sevearl lawsuits in the works as I write that will turn the company updside down.
