If you use automatic payments using your credit cards. Now what if you move and the company has your old address. the credit card company will not pay to that address and company will not accept any payments if is from an old address. Best way to fix it was to go to Verizon.com and re-enter all the information. (Or call and give them the new address that was to be with the credit card they have on file). The only reason is that once you cancel the account, they can send a paper bill, not Automatic payments, but since that was out of their area, They could only send it to the address on file. I believe that there is a 30 day window from time of canceling your phone service and the Verizon.com website. So that way you could have changed the mailing address and re-entered your New credit card information including the New address. the reason is for security. You forget an old credit card and someone that lives in your old house can pretend to be you!. So everything has to match. From Name, address, Telephone numbers and so on....
