Verizon Wireless Ripoff - Buyers Beware.
I went to a Verizon Wireless Store on 66th Street in St Pete FL. The agent ordered me a Droid incredible and stated my phone would be in on Thursady. One month later no, phone arrived. They gave me a used HTC phone and charged me for a DROID. I had to go direct to Verizon direct because the store was closed due to ripping off customers. Next I ordered a DROID X and setup an unlimited plan for calls, data, and int'l call plan for $29.00 extra.

I recieved bills consistently for over $350.00 a month and now it's $784.00 last month, over $300 add'l charges for overages. I called three times to get this corrected. The agent stated they would correct it, verified it was corrected, and never credited my bill. I paid the $350 monthly and Verizon has disconnected my phone 3 times. I am constantly sent to customer care, they say I am credited because it somehow was not applied, and the next day, disconnected for non-payment, again. In four months of having Verizon wireless, my nills are over $2,800.00.. Soooo, anyone thinking about switching to Verizon Wireless, DON'T DO IT. I have spoken to over a dozen friends and business associates who have experienced the same... Verizon will rip you off.

I cancelled all my Verizon services two years ago beacuse they took $1,300.00 out of my bank account, instead of my $130.00 bill. It took 4 months and 37 hours on the phone with Verizon and Bank Of America to get my money back.   I had to go directly to to the CEO's office and threaten a shareholder lawsuit before they would return my $1,000.00 plus dollars.. Stay away from Verizon Wireless... It's a nightmare and a huge ripoff. They will constantly change your plan and extend your contract with every change. And add a $350.00 early cancellation fee.

Do not use authorized agents

Sir,

For future reference, do not use an authorized agent (regardless of the company).  These people are not employees of Verizon, and most time have no clue what they are doing.  A direct location cannot sell you used equipment, and will be able to show you one their computers your existing plan and direct you on how to request discrepancies be handled.

I hope you have learned your lesson in the future.  Verizon is not a bad company, you were most likely an a*s when you spoke with them and they simply did not want to help you.  Be nicer, request a supervisor if you need to, but do not get irate and stupid.  It just makes it worse on you.
