Hello My name is Muhammad, and I managed 12 locations in the MI market for Mobile Telesys they were not a rip of company they were perhaps one of the greatest cellular retailer in the state of michigan who had a strong backround in training which know-one understood unless they worked their. And when-ever any fraud had occured once the company was made aware of the problem they handled it with AT-WILL TERMANATION so the fraud would stop usually the whole staff and the manager of the location. So it wouldn't happen again in the future at that location so anyone who says MTI was a rip-off company just dont fully know the full story. I will say I am still working for agents and they are perhaps the most hard working sales force you will find cause the coporate employee's tend to get lazy and dont care about the sale unlike the agent they want to make the customer happy cause they work on commision not a base dont judge cause a few bad apples ruins the taste. Thank-you,
Ben

This company when it first opened up in the San Diego district was great. Then, all of a sudden there were new employee's coming into the huge company and they were con artists, meaning to say that they took advantage of the customer's without them even knowing what was going on. Even though I'm still in the company, I myself try so hard to be 100% with the company and also Verizon Wireless itself. ....That's all I am going to say now.

Let me set this story straight. I am an ex-district manager of Mobile Telesys, and was in charge of several stores. We did not train our sales reps to be dishonest like Mr. Scott eluded to (who by the way is not the owner, nor ever was). But rather to be honest with the customer. But as with any large company you do get dishonest employees, that are only out for themself. Unfortunately you ran in to one. Mobile Telesys had the most extensive training program in the industry. One that surpasses that of Verizon direct. And nowhere in the training did it teach sales reps to be dishonest. The problem with Mobile Telesys is that some fellow district managers turned their head when these things happened, and then promoted these same reps to managers of their own store. And certain other upper management also looked the other way because they were making more money. This is the reason I left the company. The problem is not that Mobile Telesys trained their sales reps to be ruthless, and dishonest. The problem is certain people got put into places of authority, and are turning the other way while this happens. Most of the stores you incounter, you will find to be honest and even go out of their way to help you. As for the comments made by Luke from Verizon, those are also incorrect. As I mentioned before Mobile Telesys has the most extensive training in the industry as well as the best trained sales staff of any wireless company out there. And outside agents do more than 60% of all Verizons or any other wireless providers yearly activations. And most are better trained than than the wireless providers direct sales reps.

As an ex MTI employee, I must respond to a few comments left by others. Even though I am no longer with the company, I can honestly say that MTI does not train it's employees to lie. You can read up and down the sales training manual and everything is legitimate. They did however, close their eyes to many individuals who were lying to customers and churning customers because they were producing high sales numbers. That's where they went wrong. I was with MTI for almost 2 years. From Sales Associcate to District Manager before I went on to do my own thing. As an authorized retailer, I disagree with the Verizon rep who said to only go to the Verizon Stores. If we weren't out here hussling activations, the right way, Verizon would have a smaller customer base. I am talking 50,000+ activations per month. Just because a few people and companies are "money hungry", doesn't mean we all are.

As a Verizon Wireless employee I know how the inner working of the wireless industry go. You first problem came when you bought the phone from an "indirect agent". These are companies that sell Verizon service, but are not employeed or trained by the company.
From being a former indirect agent I can tell you that any of those reps will tell you anthing you want to hear to close the sale. Their job is done as soon as you pay for the phone. They are very poor at customer service.
The Rep that sold you the phone should of informed you of the 30 day policy, this is implemented to prevent fraud. Anyway, the service can be transfered to a colorado phone number. what you need to do is go into a Verizon "direct" retail store, and tell them you want to do what is called an "EZ move". It is a simple process that should take no longer than 10-15 min. After the first 30 days of service there should be no problem transfering the servive.
Any Verizon direct rep should be trained on the process. There should be no additional cost to you, and you should not have to return the phones to the original vendor. Next time start your service at a "Direct" store they are better trained and have more resources to solve your problems.

I currently just got laid off from Mobile Telesys in Ohio. This sounds like one of their better selling associates got you! Often did We tell customers that this was possible. Granted it was possible after 30 days and we all knew this! Their company trains their associates to be like this. They simply call it agressive sales tactics, other words lying! This behavior is exceptable to them because they simply want you to sell phones, even if it means lying! This company does not care about their
associates or their customers.
