Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We paid this company up front $66,000.00 in Dec. 2004 to lock in supposedly increased prices on Jan. 1, 2005.(There were no increases in prices after Jan. 1 2005 we found out from the manufacture) We purchased new carpeting, carpet padding, Fiber cement board underlayment for the ceramic tile, ceramic tile, kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and office cabinets. All of this product was supposed to be delivered to our new home construction project in Aug. 2005. The owner (Dennis Watters) of the company had supposedly hired a crew to lay our ceramic tiled flooring. No crew ever showed up.

We had to furnish two of our builders to install the fiber cement board underlayment. The underlayment he charged us for was 1/2" thick for the floor. He installed 1/4" fiber cement board and charged us $20.00 per sheet. You can by this product anywhere for $10.00 a sheet. We purchased 100 sheets of the product. He gouged us $1,000.00 over retail price for the product. The tiling job started. Four days later we are inspecting the floor. WHAT A MESS. I have never seen such a shoddy tile installation job in my life. The tiles are jagged, uneven, and crooked. The hallway tiles look like a snake down to the laundry room. On monday morning I confront the owner who is laying the tile. His reply for the crooked hallway tiles. OH he says " just put down a throw rug and nobody will notice the crooked tile lines." I was furious. I Said "get your tools and leave now." You are done!! Also on the same morning, the carpet layers show up to lay the carpet in the office on the second floor. After they have completed the job, The owner "Dennis Watters" says that he needs a check for $550.00 for the carpet layers. But we have already paid for the carpet and laying in advance.

I produce the bill that has been paid for in advance and "Dennis" does not know what to say!! And get this, I went upstairs to the office to inspect the carpet job and low and behold I find a piece of carpet left over that is 12Ft. Wide and 21 ft. long. After checking the bill over more closely I realized that he charged us to lay the entire roll of carpet including the leftover piece that was not used. We still have several kitchen cabinets that have not been delivered. All of the countertops for the kitchen and the 3 bathrooms that we paid for in advance were never delivered. (Over $13,000.00 worth)We had to borrow an additional $35,000.00 to rebuy what he never delivered.

As of today (08-13-2006there are 52 cases of ceramic tiles left that we are storing that we were charged for and never used.($3500.00)We have a roll of new carpet in the basement that is 12 ft. wide and 40 feet long that we were charged for, that was never used. He also ripped us off on the carpet pad. We paid for 1/2" thick pad. He brought all 3/8" pad that we never used. We still have 6 rolls of the 3/8" in the garage.($750.00) The estimate for the carpet laying that "Dennis" quoted for the whole house was twice the actual price that we hired our carpet layer for that finished the job. He "Dennis" then filed a mechanics lean against us for the tile laying job that he never finished for $18,000.00 (Keep in mind that this fee is for 4 days work)"This price is 3 times what we had several other tile layers quote us." Our lawyer told us that (Dennis) was going to file bankrupcy if we tried to sue him. He did give us back $10,000.00. But he still owes us over 35,000.00. Also we ordered top of the line kitchen cabinets.

The cabinet company rep from Toledo came out and told us that the cabinets "Dennis" bought us were not top of the line cabinets. He also ripped us off on the cabinets for $4500.00 more than we could have bought them for locally. "Dennis" also was going to charge us extra for the glass that goes in several of the cabinet doors. The cabinet rep from Toledo cam out and told us that the glass for the doors was included in the price of the cabinets. Dennis also furnished the ceramic tile enclosure base for our master bathroom shower. The base is so flimsy that all of the tiles on the floor are cracked and the shower is leaking. Its going to cost us $2500.00 to fix. The tile in the kitchen and sun room is all going to be torn out and new tile laid right. We have three estimates as of today. All the estimates were less including new tile and underlayment than what he charged us originally just to lay the tiles. I am extremely disapointed with this company. Dennis is a liar and a thief. We are in the process of filing criminal charges against this man. We have also filed complaints against him with the BBB, Ohio Attorney Generals Office, and Consumer Protection Agency. This man needs to be stopped now!!

These people are sheer crazy

I think that it is bogus that you would allow individuals to slander others without there knowledge. Dave and his wife I met when I was working on the job with my father. These people spent all there money on this house. It is not my father's fault that they spent too much money. He did an excellent job on this house and he in no way riped these people off. Dave let his wife spend spend spend and then when he realized that she had spent his entire inheritance he flipped out and made all these false allegations about my father. I was there when Dave started yelling and cussing at my father. If he didn't want his crazy wife to spend all of his money he should have paid closer attention when she was ordering all the things that she wanted. Dave then started yelling at my dad saying that he could have bought cabinets from Lowe's at cheaper prices. Anyone with a brain should know that you cannot compare apples to oranges and let's face it we all know that you get what you pay for. They got quality work and quality products but when Dave realized how much things were then he started to pick apart everything and tried to make mountains out of mole hills. This was even settled when an associate from one of the tile companies came out to there house. These people are CRAZY and they just over spent. His wife talks about everyone behind there backs I could attest to allegations that she made about clients in her real estate business but what comes around goes around and as the saying goes you reap what you sow.
