I brought a 28 inch flat screen vizio tv 3 years ago and the other day my screen went completely black in th middle of me watching it!!! I consulted the owners manuel with no success. After going on the internet and researching i have learned that many other customers have experienced the same thing and the company says the tv have a "black screen defect".The downside is that the company is NOT willing to replace, service or offer vouchers for customers to buy new tvs. Now Iam faced with having to replace a tv after only having it for 3 years. I have SEVERAL other tvs in my house that have lasted me well over 8 years(yes they are the old bulky tvs.. but they are srtill working)... i find it amazing that in this suppoibly new wave of technology tvs are lasting less than 7 years... DO NOT BUY VIZIO...BOYCOTT AND CAUSE THE COMPANY TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS.... THEY ARE STEALING OUR MONEY AND SELLING TVS THEY KNOW U ARE GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE IN A SHOR PERIOD OF TIME!!!

What is the warranty period? 

Should all manufacturers extend their warranties indefinitely until they fail?



When you buy Vizio, you know you're buying a low priced set..we have 3 of them, all working properly.



Sorry about your trouble, but warranties (on anything) just can't be indefinitely extended.
