Voiptalk ripoff - fraudulent credit card charge on an expired "Trial Offer" that I never ordered. Van Nuys California
On March 3 2003 I found out that a company named voiptalk long distance calls had billed my credit card on the amount of $61.02
I notified my credit card company that I didn't authorize such transaction and at the same time called this voiptalk company
I asked them who authorized billing my credit card and how did thwy get a hold of my card number, since I have a long distance carrier already. They answered that I was sent a 30 days free trial phone card (which of course I haven't) and that they billed me since the free trial period have ended and I did not cancell my subscription.
As to the question how did they get my credit number they answered that I placed an order on the internet
which I most certainly didn't.
They assured me that I would get a refund and gave me some kind of cancellation number but refused to give me their address.
Since everything was very suspicious I notified my credit card company which is investigating into the matter
