Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

VW Jetta with 100,000 miles suddenly stopped running.  Tried to start our parked car, but wouldn't start.  Had it towed to a VW dealership and that experience was a nightmare.  They ended up quoting us over $7k for a new engine.  Why does a car with only 100k miles need a new engine when it's been serviced/maintenanced on time (and at VW dealership service centers).  The car did not show any signs anything was wrong; no warning lights, it was driivng normally.  What would have happened if the engine had suddently failed without warning while driving?  Shame on VW for not putting its customers first.  I don't know where the integrity/transparency, customer focus, and safety/reliability have gone... Will never buy Volkswagen again.
