Vonage.com Did not provide use of current phone number or a local phone number. Conversations with customer support did not provide a solution and after several attempts with calls lasting hours we finally were able to cancel but only after paying for the cable modem. Internet
Vonage does not provide you use of your current phone number and does not provide a local phone number even after repeated efforts. The customer support would not recognize their failure to provide features as promised and would not allow us to cancel our account. After repeated long phone conversations we finally cancelled our account but only after paying for the cable modem they provided in full.
In addition, when connecting vonage to our LAN at home, we continued to lose internet access. There is a problem using vonage and a router at the same time.
Our primary complaint is their failure to comply to what they had promised. We did not want a new phone number. Also, when we tried to compromise they still could not find a local phone number we could use.
Their customer support is non-cooperative and wasted a lot of time. They would say what you wanted to hear but then would come back and tell you the very opposite of what they had said earlier. There was no good in contacting them.
