The reason that they run your name/number through a check verification service is because Monye Order Fraud is rampent. Even though you got it at Walmart they still process it as a check. Which means that it gets sent to Western Union to get paid. Walmart doesn't know if that money order is counterfeit, stolen, or some other issue. If it did happen to come up bad they want to know where to find you, because YOU would be the one responsible.
Can we figure you are using a Money Order because you have had checking issues in the past. If so this is probably why you were declined. So I don't think the suggestion of depositing it in your account is going to be a valid one. Your only other choice would be to try another check cashing place or contact Western Union directly.
There is something wrong with this picture. Why would you get a $700 Money Order one day, keep it for a week, and then try to cash it to buy a smaller Money Order? For you to cash it, you would have had to have your name on it. So either you left it blank for a week, or you filled your name in right away. Either way that is a little fishy.

and provide him/her with all of the information. Make sure to send it registered mail, and also by email.
Keep copies of everything that you send to your Attorney General's office. You can do a 'Google' search to find the address and email address.
***Then contact ALL of your Local T.V. Stations and get in touch with their Investigative Reporters and inform them of what happened. Maybe someone will put your story on T.V. and alert others in your area of what transpired.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Make the money order payable to yourself, then deposit it into your checking account.

Even for walmart. People take notice that their money orders are now not even worth the paper theyre printed on!
